The Quantum / Mysterium Radianace Gap

Can we maybe see the Gap a little less extreme going forward.
Q1 - 125K
Q2 - 100K
Q3 - 85K

Still some decent placements being top 1000-1500. AW would take home 100-150K, AQ/Raids maybe a little less like 110-120K for similar positions.

There is basically 0 incentive for lower/average skill or roster players to push for Quantum because Arcane and Gamma basically gives the same amount of points meanwhile the radiance jumps 60% from Q1 to M3

I told @Kabam Crashed about this very same thing before the season even began so im not surprised to see threads on it in forums and discussion within alliances about it

A legitimate weird radiance discrepancy is that there’s a 10k difference between Gamma IV and Gamma III but just 3k difference between III & II and II & I.

The gap is ridiculous. With all the modders thats been this season aswell its gonna feel real bad for those players who hit quantum 1. so close and yet so far away

I asked Crashed about Radiance tiers, and the general answer for this is that Radiance is not going to have smooth progressions from bracket to bracket because a) Radiance is intended to be a unified competitive currency across multiple game modes and thus b) how the designers choose to assign Radiance in one mode may be influenced by how hard it is to achieve similar relative placement in other modes.

In other words, it might be easier or harder to achieve a particular rank in BG vs AW vs AQ and the Radiance you get at those ranks might be influenced by a judgment-average across multiple modes. So it won’t necessarily follow smooth curves.

That doesn’t mean players can’t provide feedback on whether they perceive Radiance to be set right in any given place. It just means the specific set of equations Radiance is designed to follow might not be obvious. It’s not necessarily a mistake. It’s probably a deliberate design decision.
