First things first. My account is big enough, and I have most of the ideal options ranked so it's not about that.

The design behind this wheel of fate event is not only baffling, it's insulting.
Putting aside the horrible miscommunication on the selector (guys dont forget to buy another meta champion locked behind a paywall for an indeterminate amount of time in a couple weeks!)
What the hell are these nodes, fights, rewards, and expectations on players? This is genuinely ass. Nothing in this game has turned me off more than the presentation of this.
This isn't everest content, it's bad content. I genuinely feel bad to classify this in the same category as epoch, ordeal, and necropolis. How do we go from banger after banger to this?
This should not be the kind of content kabam is leaning toward. I dont think it's enjoyable in literally any aspect. Its gross. If you want to challenge our rosters do it in a different way because this isn't it.
I feel very deflated and honestly dont even want to do anything regarding this game right now.

I hope kabam can course correct hard and fast because this seriously is not it. Im not going to say theyre going to kill the game, but I think theyre slowly killing players enjoyment of the game and tainting the overall sentiment people have about it. The game will persist but the most dedicated, and the most passionate players will eventually leave which is something I think is worse.

We play games to have fun. Things can be hard and fun at the same time. This is neither. Its not particularly hard and its not fun at all. It's just bad.
Combine this with the aggressive overmonetization they've been doing this entire year... its such a turnoff. Why even bother at this point. I like marvel and I like games but I dont like whatever this is becoming so I think im done genuinely caring about anything with this game for now. Ill probably still play but definitely not to the extent I was before. I hope things turn around and better decisions are made.

i agree i rlly dont understand the point of locking certain fights with # and i am really dissapointed about the thors rags that they got to hype up my hopes he isnt even a proper defender so why put him in instead of someone like korg

The big 2025, the year of an unnecessary amount of 5/5 meta defenders, key 7* characters players have clamored for locked behind paywalls, rampant cheating/bans, and restrictive repetitive "endgame" content! This game is straying farther and farther from rewarding basic pure skill

I agree with the sentiments here. My 2 biggest concerns right now are:

1. The greedy monetisation of beloved champs
2. Kabams approach to new defenders tilting the scales towards RPG counters and away from player skill.

I hope they can have a better second half of the year.

I wish I had been wrongfully banned, I wouldn't have to look at this quest and I would get compensation probably better than the rewards in quest 1

In all seriousness, I think you are spot on, it's just not a game of strategies or champ knowledge or whatever it was in the past. It's all about buying a defender and then buying a counter. If you don't buy the counter they restrict other options and you can try to figure it out I guess
It's all fine I'll still play whatever crumbs I can share with other progression levels and pretend it's fun until I can't do it anymore. It's been a good 10 years though

Problem is even if you have virtually unlimited discretionary income to spend thousands of dollars a month on digital items you don't even own, it isnt even fun anymore. I get kabaam will continue to make money off those who are truly addicted, but you have to be able to get new marks for that model to work.

Kabam took the worst aspect of the celebrity challenges (doing the same fight over and over again) and somehow made it even worse.

Seeing that mess really just upset me. After giving it some thought, there is absolutely no level of reward that could've come with that quest that would make me attempt it.

We used to have nodes that limited champ pools now its nodes +7star gated + tags that have like only 4 decent options in the entire game and if you do not have those options RANKED up you're dead. What the hell is this game coming to.

I fought a guy in BG today (keep in mind, I haven't played BG this season and was on my climb to GC. Long story short this guy had 6m more rating that me (thats not even the point cos I know how match making works). It was the fact that he had dark phoenix, nico, serpent, bullseye, nick fury, DL Thanos, zola ALL AT RANK 4. THAT RIGHT, ALL AT R4. I think he also had piggy but those were the only ones that caught my attention. How am I supposed to even win against that.
It made me realize that the game has become such an auction. If you do not spend you're left behind. If you're willing to spend alot you're owed a GUARANTEED WIN. These new defenders can no longer be beaten by skill. You can only take them if you buy their counters. Its actually so crazy.

What was I supposed to do if he placed dark phoenix and zola (AT R4) That was such a guaranteed W. This is just insane.
The game has moved to such a "you buy or you die" state. This is just despicable.

And then you have this ugly mess of a quest that is just meant to test how big your 7star roster is AS IF THE INSANE AND LIMITING DEFENDERS ALREADY IN THE QUEST WEREN'T ENOUGH YOU DARE BRING A TAG THAT ALLOWS ME TO USE ONLY XMEN AGAINST BULLSEYE IN QUEST2???? where 95% of the champion pool do not work for him.

I don't have anything thoughtful to say, I'm just annoyed they nerfed white tiger with that bleed immune node. Would have made the first fight more fun and since the tags will change next quest. If the first quest was supposed to be the easiest and have the worst rewards, Then at least let us have fun utilising our roster by using the hard counters.

Man you know you done messed up when the whole community is hating the content. Seriously how do they keep making the same mistakes. It was first nightmare raids with that disastrous lunch then they messed up again with Sasquatch and rintrah. Kabbam can't be this dum💀

This game is just absolutely feasting on the flesh of people too addicted to step away at this point. It’s beyond exploitive and gross. So many meta champs are paywalled and they have people so mentally abused into thinking they need to spend to keep up.

The fact that most people see an event where a $250 price tag ceiling as a win is crazy. Now these spending events are getting closer to $500, $800 and 1k. It’s disgusting. Then comes the veiled threats that if we don’t pay these ludicrous price tags, the game is not going to last long. They are using people’s attachments to their roasters and alliances to absolutely bleed them dry on an almost monthly basis. It’s pay to win and getting scarily close to pay to play when it comes to endgame content at this point.

On top of all of this, the game is so broken and not even fun to play. The AI is a mess, basic inputs are regularly dropped, the textures and colors are constantly messed up and they can rarely launch a new update without bugs. I took a huge step back after that disgusting Dark Phonex “event” and it’s made me so much happier. When something starts making you more mad than happy, it’s time to reevaluate and step back.

Take it in. A positive way. They don't want us to stress over the game so they might have released the most skippable content of the year, or maybe the past 5 years.

You know what's worse than this "gross"? The same content but with Human torch in the selector or better rewards.

Btw don't forget to buy the 3 500$ champs coming in the next 3 months! They might be the key to counter one of the defenders in the third quest.

I totally agree with you, also on these forums 45 agrees and one disagree is an insanely good ratio, you summed it up perfectly. In my opinion, as someone who has the roster to push for endgame content, but typically having to save up resources for a while, this content is just stupid.

I actually don't think the rewards are terrible objectively, but again, with the level of difficulty it is incredibly lackluster. I think it really comes down to just a poor balance of the roster you need and the rewards you get. For example, the rewards for me would be incredible for my account, however, that's mostly since my roster is no where near as diverse as needed for these quests. On the other hand, someone who totally does have the roster and could complete WOF with relative ease, would most likely find the rewards not that helpful, so it sort of lies in this in-between area of being too hard for players who like the rewards and not good enough rewards for the players who could complete it.

Also, I feel like people haven't been commenting on the fact that the quests are literally the exact same. In what possible world does somebody want to fight the EXACT same defenders with the EXACT same nodes over and over again. I understand that they were aiming to put the variability in the champs you use, but that's literally so not conducive to what actually makes good content. If they instead made the fights themselves more variable and reduced the champ restrictions, people would still be forced to have a diverse roster to counter all of the different fights, but they would be able to do it on their own accord rather than be forced into doing it.

I think most players can agree that the enjoyment from having a diverse roster comes from your own sovereign ability to fit those champs into difficult nodes and defenders, rather than having little to no choice and just being forced to have so many counters. Like, I want to rank up champs so that I can apply them myself when needed, not rank them up because I have no other option.

Overall, I just am astonished that the Everest content feels so uncreative, like apart from the nodes, it just sort of feels like a war map. Have I not fought enough Enchantresses? One time is fine, but THREE times in a row!! With the exact nodes. The worst part is that I don't even have motivation to push for this content. I am fine with hard content that I can't do upon release; I had to upgrade my roster to take on necro, epoch, and ordeal, but with WOF the work I have to do is so monumental that it's just stupid. Once I am ready to do it, we will probably have rank 5 seven stars already!!

As many are saying, this is certainly not the hardest content--if you have the perfect roster it is a piece of cake. It's just how specific it is, it's like saying "hey, for the best rewards in the game all you need to do is walk through this door, there are hardly any obstacles! Oh wait, the only catch is that the key to unlocking the door is FIFTY specific champs!!!"

As you said, GROSS.
