I'm just confused why they are still putting out gated content after saying they wouldn't anymore. I don't think this content is super hard but you have to have a big 7* roster. If you don't then yes this will be very hard. So I'm confused why lower level accounts are being punished.

Buddy, even 4-5 mil rating accounts are unable to complete this content. The gateway champ restriction on this one is way too much. Even though the rewards are less than other everest content.
Then it's not for 4-5M Accounts. There's more to development than the content we've completed. Actually, if we were gauging by Account size, 4-5M is middle of the pack these days.
One thing I've pointed out many times over the years is Roster depth and breadth is another measure of progress. People are so used to rushing content these days that they don't believe that.
4-5 mil accounts with 31K-30K prestige with 35 R3's/R4 should be enough for any content. Like we said a million times it's the dumb champ restriction.
Meh, champ restrictions are fun. You learn how to use and fight using new champions and finding out different counters. Whether or not the rewards are worth it to to you is a different story though

I think the issue some people including myself have is the content looks very hard and restrictive, and the rewards aren't really all that we can't even pick any defender from the selector like they claimed on the livestream. I mean look at that Serpent fight for example no Leader or Wiccan you're cooked, look at Bullseye no Sinister or Warlock you're cooked.
The defender thing was a major fumble agreed, they said one of 12. I’m not sure how restrictive the future quests will be yet but for now, quest 1 looked manageable honestly

It does, I have counters for everyone thankfully only problematic fight for me will be that Bullseye cause I don't have Sinister so I have to use Warlock instead. The problem for me is that these fights have one or two decent options at best and that's it, Epoch while restrictive had more than two options for every fight. It's too restrictive imo, I will be able to do it with minimal investment but I can see why some people would be frustrated.

where you could leave your champs in the fight and do other quests later. But it's not. I know they never said it would be, but I was again hoping.

I agree with the arguing but having 30 minute fights isn't skill not even necropolis fights are this long it's ridiculous and seriously unfun I don't wanna sit down literally all day on a single fight.

What are you even talking about? The only people with 5+ million rating are those that rank up every single champion rarity. Nobody who doesn't grind arena is going to bother wasting iso and gold for that.

You’re looking at this wrong. The people with 5+ million have ranked every star because they’ve been playing when those classes were relevant. I’m no whale, but I became valiant when they released whatever spring 2024 story content (8.4?).

I maxed out 50 5-stars. I have 119 6-stars at r3+.

I have 128 7-stars despite missing out on most event champs (omega, HOF etc).

Having lots of 7-star basic pulls is what drives this content. For quest 1, at least, I was pleasantly surprised at the low number of special release champs in each pool. With that said, the content still looked miserable.

Lots of talk. I’ve looked at it briefly and reached a tentative conclusion that I’m lacking a couple of key champ counters (of the 4-5 total 7* champs I’m missing from the non-Titan, non-Trophy pool).

Probably can squeeze some fights out based on Lagacy’s video, but a couple are going to hurt missing a key counter or two. That’s the first quest, I will note—no clue what awaits next (although the second quest looks like, to quote Lagacy, “do the quest again with worse options”).

Opinions espoused here are cheap. Whatever your views are, I’d suggest expressing them when July 4 rolls around.

I'm actually more pissed that there's no r2-3 and r1-2 gems, no refined exp, no gold just rank 4 mats to which I cannot do because any champion I want to rank 4 I don't have them yet and if I do get them from this quest I won't be able to take them to rank 4 because I don't have the R2 and R3 materials..... So is this the content we’re getting instead of the ‘Of Pain’ content? Because overall that felt like much better content, with overall better rewards, when you include Epoch at the end. Unless there is a load of missing rewards not advertised in quest 3, this feels like a backwards step from last years content.

Necro enticed players like me with the death counter. Epoch, the completion rewards were good enough to get non Everest loving folks the desire to pick the easiest path for them, revive through Ares and call it good

This? The rewards are so bad comparatively, legions of people won’t touch it, cause if you aren’t exploring all 3 it’s a waste of time and effort.

I generally like the idea, but not how it's done just from trying the first fight.

First of all, filter characters to display only those who are allowed for the first fight! Manually entering tag is just unacceptable

Secondly, the rewards are kinda meh. Yes, resources for 1 r4 and 1 ag are ok, but everything else is not worse the effort. Excluding torch from selector is just bs. To be clear, I'm 90% retired f2p player, I hate grinding bgs and love new aw with 1 fight only because it's so fast. But even I have all champs but serpent from the selector. And the pool itself has mostly defenders, i.e. characters you don't play. And I don't know anybody who will be excited to do it for a champ he won't play ever
