The 1 thing I appreciate about WOF is that it will hold no value in 1-3 months. At least it will be forgotten asap.
Less than a month actually. About 2 and a half weeks
Champion selectors won't go out of value
For most players that this targeted this selector didn’t have value outside of the Titan Nexus…
Like maybe if you struggled getting Serpent this had some value… but that’s pretty much it… and he’s been in the basic for a long time now.
We all know how crystal RNG can f you up over years. The basic pool is so vast now. I don't think I've gotten a new champ for months. Maybe like 1-2.
And Spiral is still in the Titan. And that's another RNG problem. Thing is, the longer it takes, the easier it becomes and the more enticing it will be to do it just for the selector

That’s a niche minority of the players this targeted though based on the roster requirements this asked of us.
Increase champion pool a lot, increase rewards on the 1st quest specifically and maybe reduce the length of the tedious fight. Compensate all players who have completed it before the change by sending them the updated rewards.
Or are we just gonna leave the trash content exactly how it is and have it not be played at all until it’s forgotten content….?
They can’t nerf it now…how’s it gonna look for the 100 people who cleared it?

I'm not speaking about the overall rewards . I'm just saying that selector will have value untill 7*s are phased out the way of 5*s.
The other rewards, maybe not so much .
even the Titan Nexus will have value for a long time

Serpent has definitely been in the basic for a long time now, and that dude still evades me. 😭 I think kabam wanted to make sure I got my money's worth when I bought the 6* in the pre release bundle, so now they won't give me the 7*! Haha
We don't ignore any feedback; we read everything said on all Social channels.
Wheel of Fate has been out for less than 1 week. At this time, there are no plans to update Wheel of Fate. There are going to be times when certain content isn't widely loved by the entire Community. It has been received very well from the group of players that I expected to enjoy it.
I dont understand only 1 thing; They say WOF is hardest contest they have ever created. And Harder contents should have better rewards right? But why this entire WOF Quest rewards are not better than previous content Epoch of Pain? If WOF is hardest quest, better rewards needed.

This is incredibly insulting.
Niche content for a select group of players is absurd when you have a player base as wide as Kabam does.
I’m saying this as a player that did that horrific content 100%, simply because I had resources burning. That whole experience was trash, the rewards for it sucked. Complete miss by the team and their response was even more off. They are virtually saying, we look at stats and gather feedback from a select group of players, outside of that everyone can pound sand.
The problem isn't with the content as much as it felt that these rewards were better suited for a piece of content leading into WoF. In the future, maybe we can earn currency (radiance) or have a build your rewards option for content like this. That way, people can choose rank up items or champ acquisition. We have build your own offer and reward selectors in deals, so the tech is there. For the radiance, Kabam could total the value of the rewards they would have given normally and convert it to a radiance amount.
Difficult content is great but with the diversity we see in accounts and what each of us are hoping to gain from completion/exploration of content, having an option to choose what's best for our accounts would be awesome.

Which makes up about 1% of the whole player base. I get feedback from more places than just the Forums and YouTube Content Creators / Comments.
This Quest was made for players who built very expansive rosters, who enjoy challenging content that is going to stretch those rosters thin. The majority of the people who work here do not fit that bill.
As I previously stated, it bums me out when people don't enjoy things, but not every piece of content is going to be universally loved by every subsection of the Community.
Flash news! Your objective is to make happy the majority of the mcoc community. Not only 1% of them who spend like crazy whales...

No happy whales, no money for the game to keep it free for everyone else. What part of that don't you understand.

Additional argument. If you want to say this caters to the 1% of whales. Why are the rewards not better. It wont matter for the targeted 1% since they're whales anyway and it would make it better for the other 99% where its a challenge

I have a very large roster and piles of revives and around 30k units. I was initially very excited for this content but upon seeing it I lost all excitement. I dont feel the rewards are anywhere sufficient for the effort and time required to run that quest times.
I've 100% all story content, 100% epoch, 100% necro, etc. I should absolutely be in the target audience but still feel the content was a swing and a miss. I'd rather have seen the quest be more difficult and be a revive fest than have to do it 3 separate times. If the rewards were more enticing I'd still do it but instead im likely going to skip it all together.

Having explored this, I don't mind the content by itself (Abyss felt harder at the time it came out) - it's the rewards for it especially quest 1 that felt very out of sync. Moreso with the champ restrictions added to it.
Genuine question, for everyone who dislikes the content -
Would you prefer the rewards to be SO great that you'll be left at a significant disadvantage for not doing it?
Planning quests is what I missed about act6. Act7 and after its all vanilla. But all bosses are cool.
Wof is pretty bang on. I have plenty roster limitation and I'm happily eager to pay revive tax on couple of fights.
Then I agree with the others... its missing basic rewards. T5c t3a t6b t6cc (1-2, 2-3 gem/s) Refined xp. About 50 sigs. Gold. And an emote... which is kinda staple atp.
Yeah, it's kinda funny, but it's the grace notes, the charms, the tokens (not BG tokens) that can make what would otherwise feel like a unsatisfactory experience into a rewarding one.
As I'm sure everyone on the forum is familiar, Robert Browning said it best in "The Bishop Orders His Tomb at Saint Praxed’s Church”:
"The little more, and how much it is!"
Even as a case in point, the Grandmaster pfp is like my main motivation for exploring all of Necro at this point.
It appears Kabam sometimes forgets just how petty and sentimental its players are.
Lol.... The reason I planned and executed my ccp fintech tigra challenge first in my alt was to get that Tigra emote. Sentiments at its best. And now they took away my pride and joy with paywalled 7* tigra. I quit(not really).
It’s cool at least there’s a clear plan for Tigra to be made available in 2059
Pretty much, right! The other thread Mr. Dinosaur responded to clearly explains that.
The big swing and miss are that they've said this is aspirational content, which I'm assuming means it has a projected lifespan of at least 6-12 months.
If the rewards are "meh" right now. What will they be considered in the time frame when someone has built that roster to do it?
The rewards are incongruent with the target audience or the goals as they've been presented to us (who knows what their unspoken goals are). - end game content, with rewards that don't shift accounts for the target audience - aspirational content that doesn't have rewards that will age well - "hardest ever" content that doesn't reward you for being challenging.

I don’t know how you can respond to a comment saying that we look for feedback from all players in all sorts of places, and say it’s insulting we only gather feedback from a “select group of people.”
There are players who enjoy restrictive, difficult, and painful content that challenges both their roster width and their skill set.
That may not be the majority of the members of the forums, but those players exist - and occasionally, content needs to be designed in that style for them as well. This content is always optional, and not put into the Story mode, or any other piece of content that will make or break a player’s progression if they ignore it.

Check my acct and spend history. I am your audience. Your response dodged around major points here. If you are going to make ‘hard’ content that challenges both roster and skill set do so in a fashion that 1. Rewarding enough today as it will be in at least 6 months from now (aka guaranteed 4th deals make the rewards from WOF look even more obsolete). 2. Allow skilled players with small rosters attempt the content at there own peril with lower rarities.
As far as your remark about a select group of players you brought that on yourself by saying ‘it’s been well received by the group of players I expected to enjoy it’. In saying that you’ve more or less publicly said we’ve built this content for a select consumer base not the entire community. This would have less lashback if numbers 1 & 2 above were honored. Also I’d like to add that if you don’t think the whole player base doesn’t want to attempt new content you are very out of touch. It’s like saying AW / AQ wasn’t meant to be fully explored by everyone- which was an argument kabam made way back when after launching team based content at a difficultly that was out of touch at the time.
Again I’ve done the content 100%. It wasn’t worth the time or effort even in the slightest degree.
If you can’t see the flaws in your argument your misguided and have no business addressing a public forum.

The game is in a COMPLETELY different spot than it was 7 years ago when those blatantly incorrect comments were made about AW & AQ.
Let me address your two points.
1 - We can’t keep pushing the boundaries of rewards with each piece of content we roll out. Endgame content used to be released very sparingly. In today’s day, we try to release different pieces of content for all different groups of the playerbase much more frequently.
2 - One of the main design philosophies of WOF was to stretch your 7 Star Roster. You may not like that design, that is 100000% okay and completely understandable - but allowing lower rarities in the quest would go against the design of the quest.
Not one time did I say the whole Community does not want to attempt all new content. I encourage every single player to try everything we release! Lots of time goes into our content, and I want everyone to give it their best.
I said that not every piece of content is going to be universally received well - but that doesn’t mean that content doesn’t have its place in the Contest. Wheel of Fate didn’t stop the production of Act 9, or PvP updates, or any other feature in the game.
Not about me liking or disliking it. There is broad lashback on and off the forums, in chats, YouTubers etc. Kabam choosing not to explore how they approach and release content in terms of how it will be received today, 3 months, 6 months, a year from now is a miss. Aka your answer to number 1 isn’t sufficient because if you actually listened to the feedback the ‘end game rewards’ for WOF will be outdated faster then the majority of the player base will even be able to attempt it.
Not taking a step back and reevaluating their decision in earnest after wide ranging feedback isn’t a good look.
Standing by a poor decision with limited community appeal is closed minded and naive.
