Just took a look at the next two week Meta and yeah - no thanks. Hitting into block and getting punished for it by the AI is not what I enjoy. So, 118 points and I’m out! Back to BGs in a bit over 3 weeks.

For me the GC meta experience has been:
Attempt to get screwed by AI stall/Power Gain/Unblockable interactions less than the opponent gets screwed:)

Lol she's pretty gnasty this Season.. Onslaught gets a mention too.. he toggles between throwing specials with a 10 second animation and not throwing them 🙃

I'd like to add Photon to this terror squad. She started the fight on Untouchable (as SOON as "FIGHT" disappeared) but wasn't stunned, and was still attacking me 😭 What the hell? It's like I was fighting a ghost. I don't know if that was somehow paragraph-node related, or a mod, but I wasn't ready for that 💩 man.

I don't have champs ranked up which does not deal DOT in one way or another, so I play it normal and hope my opponent (this post in on VT correct?) faces more problem with the Conflictor node than me.

By the way, does striker grant power to opponent too? I see the power bar going up when hitting into the opponent.

Are these instructions on what to do?? She started out already Untouchable/Invisible lol. Like as soon as the "FIGHT" disappeared, she did too 😭 If I tried to parry, she'd gain power....which I did not want. Her AI holds specials until she's in PLF.

Can someone explain why the upcoming invade meta is so bad? Lol I read the buffs and other than the usual suspects with garbage AI (Enchantress, Onslaught and Arcade) I think it's going to be way easier and more fun than the current one with power gain, anything with power gain is bs these days. However, there will be some defenders like Zola who will be way easier to deal with, on paper at least.

You can't block.
And champs who crit through block will be doing insane damage. And a lot of those champs are 6*s (or 7s who are hard to get).
People have spent a lot of resources to rank up 7R4 defenders and probably won't enjoy seeing 6* unduped Corvus tear through them via a few 4 hit combos into their block.
It's gimmicky and will require a very specific and unusual deck.
It can be fun, sure, but there is a lot on the line for the GC players and for Kabam to run gimmicky nodes like this just shows they are out of touch.

I'm in Mysterium II right now and I plan to just sit the last two weeks out and drop to Gamma or whatever. I just don't have interest in stuff like this.

Actually.. this happened to me once too and I wasn't sure what caused it..
Once in a while my opening move on her is parry (with the intention of putting her Untouchable on cooldown), but definitely not in this meta:)
Only think I can think of is that her opening light attack was executed so quickly that even an immediate/solid block registers as a Parry

It's not the first time of invade meta.
You'll be fine. You grind BGs. Its pretty common to rankup 6* for these niche metas. Just some rankups for you. It's not out of touch. These metas rewards strategy. Draft fill be rng tho.

It's not power gain it's energize so not exactly the same, we'll have to see how strong it is if you hit on block only.

I mean, you don't need to block just dex and wait for the defender to hold block, a lot of fights seem doable except for the usual suspects but those are always annoying regardless of the meta which is why I've had Enchantress permabanned since she was released.

a meta where the attacker gains power from nodes is always gonna be terrorized by nefaria. the matador meta few months ago was also an example of this.

The RNG element of the champ selection is part of the problem, compounded by the greater divide between the haves and the have nots. Don't know what the right answer is, but it's clear that introducing a new meta currency is the only way that Kabam knows how to increase engagement. Fun and interesting content is no longer an option, apparently.

The problem is not the meta, is the million cheaters lurking in Uru. They finish every fight with 98% health, and of course, Kabam does nt do anything about them, they just ban people for downloading the game "the wrong way".

This is a farce.

Made the climb again to the GC and radiance with a day to spare. Only had to report 1 cheater.

Having to climb from D4 to GC was a bit annoying since I actually logged in too early.

Luckily I haven't run into any blatant cheaters yet, but finishing the fight at 98% health doesn't make people cheaters, lmao

With war being less competitive this season, I had planned to play more BG. Then I played this season and became so annoyed with it. It’s not that it is crazy hard, outside of a few defenders (enchantress especially), but it’s just not fun.

Dancing around 1/2 the match while the AI continues to not throw a special is annoying. A fair amount of matches are timeouts. And honestly, I feel like I have won very few matches and more I just sucked less than my opponent. Doesn’t feel rewarding.

feels long but not as bad atleast. Not many parkers or quitters so the ascend is slower haha.

AI is constantly holding it's special, or will spam heavies until it corners you. But as soon as it reaches sp 3, it throws it immediately. Where was that energy while it was on Sp 1 and Sp 2??? 💀

I take it back this meta is cancer, there definitely have been some interesting fun matchups like these

But there are so many cancerous defenders that barely have one or two counters it is very annoying when you get bad luck, way more punishing than the last meta.

Shoutout to r2 iBom taking down r4 Onslaught, and everyone said he was the worst in the HoF pool lmfao.

I take back what I said too. I actually appreciate this meta, because it's so awful that it's allowed me to skip it entirely and tend to some unfinished business in Necropolis.

Actually anyone can take onslaught this meta wayy easier, he is easier than in regular nodes, but yeah ibom is definitely not the worst wof.

Red skull and midchantress are totally unfair you have to rely on rng completely to counter them this meta.
