The balance update isn’t about changes they’re making but telling us if there will or won’t be updated ahead of time.

So this is great news for my Okoye.

I haven't really played my Gentle yet - were people hoping for a Buff or is he considered pretty good as he is (I know people don't like the recoil thing, but if you look past it or actually play him a different way, it's not really an issue)

Right? People complain all the time about "silence" from Kabam, and then when they write a detailed report about something, you've got someone complaining that they even wrote it in the first place.

Not directly related, but will the Gifted Guardians (buffed for Dec 2024 Banquet Event) be going through the balancing review process? I haven't been able to find a clear answer one way or the other. But my assumption is that if they were getting reviewed, it would have been announced prior to the Jan 2025 champs.

So this is great news for my Okoye.

I haven't really played my Gentle yet - were people hoping for a Buff or is he considered pretty good as he is (I know people don't like the recoil thing, but if you look past it or actually play him a different way, it's not really an issue)

He's not bad just not the fastest unless you get extremely lucky with the sp2 crits. In the deep dive they showcased sp1 sp2 rotation which 75% of the time won't kill the defender in BGs so if you want to use him specifically in BGs you have to go for one sp2 at 12 daunted or less and then another sp2 at 13 daunted which will always close out the fight and that way you won't take any recoil damage. For everything else, always sp2 at 12 daunted unless you're sure it will kill at 13.
He's not bad at all, I will continue to use my r3 sig 80 whenever I can, and the recoil thing in my opinion is great because once he's max sig you can run suicides and take no damage. He's just not the fastest if you don't want to rely on crit RNG and you want to play him effectively and minimize health loss.

Because the community would have a heart attack of all the said was "no changes". Even if there aren't changes, they give details about what they're seeing summoners using the champ for.

I like that alot of new champs don't need changes it just sucks we have to wait 9 months if a champ does need a Buff to see that buff complete. like Patriots buff won't be here till August that guy was released last year and these batches of buffs take a long time also I get it takes a very long time to buff champs but im thinking of full reworks. If champs are just getting Tune ups shouldn't that be a bit quicker no animation changes just number tweaks and some minor kit changes. It just feels like a very long time if a champ does need a buff to then receive that buff 9 months down the road from release date and also if our Batch of buffs is in August the next one probably won't be until 2026 thats a Long wait for most champs who are good but just need Tune Ups.

Now if those batches are getting massive reworks and Animation changes okay im all for the long awaited wait time but if not just feels like a very long wait time imo.

No Suicides is not a good option for most Battle grounds and why "it cost you matchs you don't know how to use him" beaucase RNG during special with a Gambit relic is realy about skill, using S1 and later S2 while Unstoppable is a very skill reliant rotation,i had to deal with 3 people using that Argument already stop saying that like S1 and S2 while Unstoppable was something hard

And this same situation happend to Punk,they simply increase 15% on his numbers and look where he is,realy good option and underrated in a realy strong class, Gentle getting the Crit modifications on his S2 wouldn't be a game changer just a character changer for his target fights, There is enough people asking for those change and this alone could make the recoil issue not as strong as others think

I literally just told you sp1 sp2 rotation is very unreliable I don't know why you're even bringing that up, the proper way to play Gentle in BGs is double sp2 first one at 12 daunted or less, second one at 13 and the second special is always overkill even punching a full rank above, takes 45-50ish seconds to pull off which is not bad at all you just don't know how to use Gentle properly and the same goes for everyone begging for a buff that would make him a 30 second busted nuke and kill all defensive threat potential Bullseye currently has.

I have a r3 soon to be r4 7* sig 80 Gentle, he doesn't need a buff if you know how to use him.

Yes the crits are inconsistent which is why you do two sp2s instead of sp1-sp2.
Lol Cyclops busted? It takes 50 secs to fully ramp him up, his sig ability does nothing because adrenaline decays, you have no idea what you're even talking about you just see big red numbers and go "oooh shiny he's busted".
Gentle is a Bullseye counter, if you do double sp2 instead of sp1-sp2, again you don't know how to use him.

Inconsistent time that won't secure you a victory? I just did ROL Cap Marvel (550k hp, worst AI in the game loves to hold block) in 42 secs lol that's a bad score for BGs?That's easy 50k points right there if you finish at full health

Like I said, you obviously don't know how to use Gentle, practice more and learn how to use him fully and take advantage of his unstoppable to stay aggressive and build power fast instead of just screaming buff buff buff. You'll realize he's great as is once you learn him properly.

Punk was terrible pre buff, not even stat focus could save him. Gentle is good with stat focus if you use sp2 spam rotation and learn how to take advantage of that unstoppable to stay aggressive.
What do you mean wouldn't be a game changer? He'd kill a lot of meta defenders in one sp2 in 25-30 secs that is busted considering the defensive value he has and the fact that he shuts down Bullseye completely.
They're not going to change anything anymore, so get used to using him as he is right now, and adapt your playstyle to get the most out of him instead of asking to make him a busted dual threat nuke. Double sp2 sounds bad but he gains power very fast due to the unstoppable helping you stay aggressive.

Regardless of the level of buff they still need to be tested and given that the champion designers don't just do champions but other rpg aspects as well I would rather time be taken instead of rushing out buffs that end up being under cooked
