Spending units now or saving units for Cyber Weekend or later?

The unit deals were a little underwhelming for those with 15k or less. Will you be buy any of the unit deals or continue saving.

18k units, no 7r4

Just save for cyber deals, those should be better right?

We gona be right here again saying wait for banquet lol and the cycle repeats saying how crazy the cost of a r5 7* is lol

Just this past banquet and till now the value of r4 has DROPPED like crazy.

If you compare these to valentines deals or banquet sure, the deals are way better. Might aswel keep saving and saving till we can r6 7* at this rate if we keep complaining the deals arent any good.

For me, I want a 7* torch but I can care less about having a lot of r4’s right now.

We just don’t know how long him or heart of fire champions will be locked.

Because they’re doing things like 36,000 or whatever for a torch.

This is what makes me gasp:
A deal 3 months ago had more r4 for 15k than the current deal has for 18k.

The game moved on, the value went down and we’re expected to pay more.

It’s not that the 39k deal is bad - it’s ok. Too bad it’s 39 and not 36 but that’s just greed.

The fact that anything before deal #8 is filler for an endgame player is what drives me nuts.

Kabam has said and have followed through with the promise that it won’t happen again. The key isn’t to nibble at these events. Store units and go all in on one. If you can’t, skip it and get the next one you can. Just understand you can always talk yourself out of it and have others tell you how it isn’t worth it to go all in… and you can hoard your units forever and not do anything.

(I spent 39k units yesterday)
Seeing we have at least 4 unit spending events each year now, I think a case can be made to save your units for an event you think is worth your units.
See, that's my problem: There isn't one worth my units. They're all overblown disappointments. Even banquets has become a wash now, which is the biggest of all.
I didn’t spend 39k units because I conducted a cost/value analysis. It’s a GAME. I love Starky but those CCP challenges were never going to happen. I really like champs like torch…easy to play and I don’t care about higher than normal chip damage cause I am not blitzing GC upper ranks. Throw in 2 rank 4’s, 2 rank 3’s and the best titan pool arguably ever (where I got two nexuses that netted Okoye and Jean Grey) and… why not? You might have one event that has a champ or two you value more than me and go all in for that….. it’s all subjective. The days of your roster jumping multiple levels are over. That’s what all the complaining is about now IMO… which is funny because that is what no one was happy about when they existed.
Once I saw starky in the tier 4 offer, I knew I was going for it.

Is it a selector? If yes, it is going to test my resolve.

Yes.
I think people should just do the challenge, but this is definitely a much quicker and easier way to get him.

I decided to go for the 18k tier to get Starky, who was one of my top 3 champ targets. Frankly I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy Fintech’s challenges so honestly it was worth it to me. I may go for another tier or two but I’m not going the full 39k. My other top two are Jean Grey and Serpent, so I may try a shot or two at Jean and then save the rest of my units to do the latest content - despite it apparently not being very fun - to finally get my 7* Serpent.

I mean if Kabam don't want to make big sales big, what can I say about it lol,
But if you had 30k units and spent a bit you could get 7r4 torch, so that's account changing for sure but it's clear that Kabam held back so much on this July-4 deals and made whole event turned into "7* torch sale"

okay. So here was my experience with spending 18k units only, spending no money on it. For me personally, i took the gambling offers (titan nexus and t7b in 7500 units and a titan crystal plus something else in the cheaper one) and got spiderwoman and bastion from it, respectively. And i r4ed my boy fury.
Frankly, I got lucky from the gambling and still feel like is not worth it. I also had to witness many alliance mates pulling absolute dog craps. So please, save it for cyber man.

I've been saving my units since the end of Banquet (got to 36k which was the lower end of my goal) for a potential 7* Jessica Jones... but not only she isn't present, the 39k HT soured my mood lol

saving all my units until Cyber week/Banquet and fingers crossed I'll get more bang for my buck

If only 15k, it's better to buy 750 unit deal and save the rest for Cyber week
