Realm Event: Questions

Just taking a cursory inventory of the ways to get points for the Realm event, is it necessary to do both BGs and Raids to hit the 285K needed for all milestones?

Missed the stream, but perhaps it was addressed there?

2500 per monthly valiant gauntlet seems low. It mentioned per quest. Hopefully, it's 2.5k ×6 each month

Agreed, what I was told is there is roughly 300k points available for free. You can hit all the milestones, but that also means you're going to need to do practically everything too including nightmare raids. (You could hit it with normal raids, but that is 3k less points per raid) and getting twitch drops and all that jazz. Really not looking forward to these next 2 months.

Yes, it’s puzzling, but I’m holding out hope we will get more helpful clarification once everything is live tomorrow—although the event has been live now for two days, so maybe there’s nothing more to know.

To the extent you have anyone’s ear…as an active player, if I know I’m capped out of the gate to somewhere around milestone 40 or lower (for sake of example, say the 6* nexus milestone), then I have zero incentive to push at all.

I can scrape some shards, stones, loyalty and glory, but I don’t really care about the event otherwise. Anything more appears out of reach from day one. That feels a lot different from previous Realm events.

And not that I would spend to hit all milestones, but the amount of points for the event are a pittance for the money spent. It would be nice to have even a limited way to grind for points, even if it was painful.

One more question, why is there a 6* nexus and 6* sig stones at highest milestone? Curious to know what’s the thought process behind that.

well hopefully you are correct in saying that the points are available to ftp, but as of yet as per normal no clear details have been given making it more confusing to us less mortal's.
I would however not dismiss the fact that they will want to drain piggy banks too.

And there even makes a mistake in my opinion making the live stream no mention of of the drop would gain points to. So we already one thich ice there

I imagine that those who claimed the twitch drops late and got the points would have 307.5k points available to them as I doubt it was intentional for them to give points in the first place.

Even if it's still possible for the milestones, allowing some people an extra 7.5k is quite a big disadvantage for those who didn't get it if there are limited farming point opportunities but are ranked rewards. It should be rectified if at all possible.

I contacted kabam support, they said no to adding points for twitch drops claimed prior to the event. Seems rather unfair with ranked rewards maybe affected by margins like this. There was no indication people should save opening twitch drops...ah well.

I thought realm events were kinda subpar before. Then we don't have one for almost a year (i think), and this is what we get? Kinda wish realm events were never a thing at this point tbh.

I don’t know why there’s radio silence on the details of the event when there is clear confusion and the mods have been active on the forums. There’s no way they haven’t read all the confusion / concern

When I finally claimed mine on July 6, each drop came with a health potion and a "2500 realm points" item. I figured the item would be held in the stash until whatever it is they were good for started.

I submitted a ticket and haven't heard back yet. It would be totally sh***y if they did not give us the points.

During the stream they announced the realm event but never said the drops were tied to the realm event. They said several times, "we are testing twitch drops. go claim your twitch drops and let us know if they are working!" Not once did they say, "hold on to your drops until the event starts! you are going to need them to claim milestones!"

They probably don’t want to answer the questions because it will steal some thunder from an upcoming announcement about one of the August events.

Yeah same **** I got, don't seem to understand this sort of thing affects ranks. If was unintentional for that stream to count, then take the points back
