Why don't we get the Doombots as 7* champs?

Please spare me comments like "they're only trophy champs", i think that could be so cool to get these as 7*s! Unlike the Deadpooloids-their kits look nice and interesting, and I think they're cool looking as well and love their concept. In addition, they all synergise with each other and with Doctor doom, they form a synergy team! Which is cool and I like, and we could really use more of (with Synergies being sidelined nowadays), and with these being only 2*s, I know I will never really use them, unless I REALLY REALLY want to, and like... do act 1 quests... and that sucks. So why not? I'd be down for an endgame quest to get these guys as 7*s, tbh.

Like most games with minion characters they only get put as the lowest rarity as they dont have much since most of the specials are actual champs so it is just collectable purpose than being used

The Doom event will start in July 24. You will need to win new game modes and you will be able to get their 2* versions

The real reason the Doombots aren't being released as 7* champs has to do with why 7* champs exist at all. They exist to be chase targets for the game. They exist because the 6* champs ceased to be useful as top tier chase rewards, so 7* champs had to be created to serve that purpose. That's why one day we'll have 8* champs, and then 9* champs. Eventually a rarity ceases to be interesting enough to be a top tier chase target because too many top tier players have too many of them, such that having one more isn't as much of a motivator no matter what they look like.

Why aren't the Doombots being released as 7*? Because they are not appropriate for the top tier chase rarity. And the work that would be required to make them appropriate is basically the same level of work required to make new champs. To release the Doombots as 7* champs would displace other champs, because there's not enough time to both make new champs for release and tune the Doombots to be appropriate chase targets.
