Kabam only thinks for money.

Monetization Hell (Pay-to-Win at Its Peak).Whales dominate: If you don't spend, you'll never compete in top-tier content like Alliance Wars or high-level Battlegrounds.Unfun difficulty spikes: Some content is hard not because of skill, but because of BS nodes and champion immunity stacking.
It's all about Money .
Unit drain traps: Story quests, Karatemike-style challenges, and side events are designed to drain revives and units unless you have specific meta champs. Kabam removed revive farming, making hard content even more punishing for free-to-play players.
Kabam: "We want to protect the balance of the game."
Players: “Can we get fewer unit offers then?”
Kabam: "No, but here's a $99 Odin pack with 1 revive and 3 rocks."

Or simply if your boss doesn’t pay you for the work you do there.
The game is ads free, and free to play, what else are expecting?
Is that okay analogy for comparison?
Yes it requires more time and effort but all quest are doable at the mid tier + can be satisfying. Once you stop trying to play against the whales, the game is alright.
Imagine getting past act 4 or act 5 and then your XP gain is reduced to 20%, rewards are cut to 20%, and energy gain takes 5 times longer unless you buy the subscription for $10 a month to play the game.
Summoners of the world, unite! Seize the means of units production. Injustice to one Thronebreaker is Injustice to all summoners!
Long live the Revolution ☭.
Of course it’s a business and if they want the game to continue to be successful it requires monetization.
It’s a far stretch to say that it’s all they care about as they give plenty of incentives for all types of players to stay and fill out alliances.
I'm struggling a bit out here to comprehend what everyone is criticising in OP's complaints. Feel like there's a new wave of "game free, no ads, what more do you want?" and I just don't get it. I thought the aggressive monetization was becoming a problem as of late, what changed? Are we at peace with it now? I don't have much to say if community accepts it the way it is, thought it was a problem for you guys but guess not?
The fact of the matter is that probably no more than 3% of the entire playerbase even spends money, so those people are keeping the game free for everyone else. If kabam doesn't have an incentive for these people to pay, then they wont pay.
We complain about monetization and how P2W things are, but most of us also understand that is the reality of playing a free to play game in general. It isn't anything new so we complain about it and just live with it.
If you personally feel you getting back what you give, that s fine. Delusional, but fine, we don t judge here.
Years ago a large percentage of the competitive part of game could be done ftp. With more time and effort invested. Spending gave an advantage, but lower spenders and ftp could still chase to big spenders and catch up.
Everest content could be done quickly to get the rewards sooner with unit man on the team or slower with less spent. Same rewards. Eventually the field of play is even.
Now there is a pay to participate feel to the game. No spending = no possibility of best or even decent rewards.
Inflating the unit cost of deals, offers and events creates a greater imbalance. Rich people will always have more no matter what.
You can not stop inflation with additional inflation.
And since kabam cares about the whales the most... does it make whale feel like spending more to get a greater advantage over a low or free spender when the roster size difference is already insurmountable.
