Thoughts on Mystic Champs in Raids?

With the raid bosses switching to include Ebony Maw (who is extremely annoying when you have buffs), my alliance is debating whether or not Cosmics are even viable for Tacticians this week. But looking at the pool, there are only 9 Mystic Champs available (10 if you count 6*): Chavez, Kush, Juggs, Enchantress, White Tiger, Mojo, Sym Supreme, Tigra, OG Scarlet Witch, and Doom. But I NEVER hear anyone using these in Raids.

So does anyone use any of them regularly and can pass along recommendations?

    I’m wondering if Vox with his miss counter would work. Otherwise I’m going to have to go Kushala or Chavez.

    Mojo* wrecked shop the last time I used him with Vicious Placebo. Maw and Spot might be a bit tougher than average but he should still be a capable option.

    *Disclaimer: I have a r4 7* Mojo. I still think he’d be fine at lower rank, but my experience may be a little clouded by that.

    Vox was my first thought too, but Maw nullifies 1 Fury, Cruelty, and Precision each (I think) on activation of his SP1, and Vox takes big damage when his buffs are nullified. Unless they add some sort of nullification immunity to the node, won't Vox just get wrecked?

    How is Ebony Maw extremely annoying when you have buffs? His degen from nullifying a buff only triggers once per fight. And you can always just push him to an sp2 and then he'll never nullify you.

    I think its dumb to alienate an entire class. 2 mystics makes it almost impossible to use a cosmic champ. Especially if things turn out like last week where the bugs completely killed all cosmics. At least switch up roles & mix the classes more if we r going to continue down this road. It doesnt make any sense to continually block us from using an entire class of great champs.

    Getting Degen by Ebony Maw once the fight start. using purgatory , not sure why ,.. she can work.
    But the one degen and you melt .. we are gonna need a lot of revives ..

    I will say, I used Chavez last week and it was BAD. I was not enjoying her in the way that I usually love Venom. But with two mystic defenders, I used her primarily and it was maybe my most frustrating runs - I wasn't doing enough damage, for some frustrating reason I wasn't getting charges, I just hated it all around.

    Unfortunately you're *bleeped* the only thing you can do is save your revives for the next defender. Make up for it there. Maybe have your 10th back you up.

    hit monkey throws guaranteed critical hits maw makes guaranteed critical hits miss.

    so any champ that has a guaranteed crit can’t be used against maw dazzler ghost hit monkey three big guaranteed crit champs

    I am now realizing that the mystics aren’t particularly awesome against Spidey Supreme either. That power gain steal is brutal because it also works against MD. I’m running Mojo with Vicious Placebo and in my first run all the power gain from the Placebo Buffs I was triggering expiring just shot Spidey to sp3 twice (I managed to live the first one but the second finished me off). Can’t say I’m a fan of that. I may genuinely be dead in the water for that fight unless I spend units to disable MD.

    Easier said than done though, with the way the AI likes to throw SP into block sometimes.

    Yup. I went with Kush and Vicious Placebo, and it just feels like I'm baiting specials forever.
