It's ok i suppose. It'll be interesting to see how other characters do in future versions. Easy enough tho for free stuff in game. Gold, there's alot of units involved in the shatter mode which you can do completely free, just takes a week or so to get to.
You know that feeling you get when your favorite restaurant starts losing quality... Same feeling about the game right now
Like a Mexican restaurant just started putting Chinese on the menu.
Lol exactly... And then they add special events like wet tshirt contests and little people fighting in jello; but I used to bring my kids here!! This is by far the weirdest month in 10 years. So when is MCoC tetris comming out? We gotta arrange champs and their limbs to fit in a box. That would be fun! Hardest piece would be something stocky like Thing, or 6 armed spiral.

See now that, id pay for.
I paid for weird stuff I would love to unsee in Tijuana; but at least it was advertised as what it was.
So couple of things here, first as others have said this is another experiment, like force recruitment, trying out new and novel ways to make interesting limited time content like our side quests which pretty much everyone agrees had gotten a bit stale/boring. So gotta try out new things and tweak and improve.
I like the sentiment of creativity but I think the doom cycle and poker are not the solution to stale side quests as they are fundamentally not core MCoC. Creativity and novelty for creativity and novelty sake isn’t a positive thing.
For example, Doom cycle feels totally unpolished. Similar to others I have wasted 2 tokens because after clearing chapter 1 of story mode, I went into my mastery and after updating hit the “x” rather than back to “save and exit”, simple UI/UX fixes like this should have been discovered during a beta test rather than rolling out in production. In terms of “gameplay” it feels like the mode will be optimized quickly with someone figuring out the one “right” champ and mastery setup which everyone will copy. Bottom line just a worse version of games that already exist out there while core MCoC is a fantastic game that is being utilized to the fullest.
I honestly thought this was a joke. Absolutely terrible. Who thought this would be a good idea? Players are wanting a better quality of life whilst still being able to keep up yet you release what is the most time consuming nonsense that’s not even remotely the game I want to play. Not sure how much longer I can continue to invest my precious time into this farce.
Unless you have to step away because of real life or other phone interaction before saving or if you accidentally exit the mode. Then that's a whole entry down the drain.

Ask me how I know.
Or if the whole rpg portion goes sideways and you get wrecked 5 times by defenders before you get the attack.
I struggle with understanding why these experiments are done in production. There is no focus group or feedback from the community on these modes until after you have spent time and money to create them.
Why even have the CCP at this point?
The Content Creator Program is not a group of free beta testers. The program exists to help Creators produce content for their channels and support their careers.

So they make videos showing the rest of us how to do things - use champs, defeat champs, etc.
Which lends some credence to the thought that the game has become to complicated and unwieldy. I can’t remember the last time a champ came out that you could read the kit and know what to do.

So gotta try out new things and tweak and improve. As for dev resources, the nice thing about these two new modes is that the impact was relatively minor and just not having them would not have impacted the issues in other modes the way you might think. Its not a one to one stop doing this and focus on that.
Ultimately the core of MCOC is a game we love and we're not moving away from it, we just want to add fun new ways to engage with the game in addition to that core.
How about, instead of useless new modes, fixing the 1 million bugs in game and stop creating sadistic battlegrounds metas and horrible designed defenders?

I have full faith that you could read a champion's abilities and know what to do. That's exactly how they do it.
A visual guide is an added bonus, and streamlines that learning process. That's going to be the case in scenario.

Well you know what they (me) say about mcoc players

Remember when people used to write game is too difficult and the forum regulars would say go play candy crush instead? It may actually come true right here. They may make mcoc/candy crush mashup.
I just can't understand why you guys are introducing these new game modes?
Mcoc Poker and Turn based autorun, they take away from the core of MCOC for the last 10-years of building your skill, expanding your roster and these game modes come away from this completely.
I feel like something like this might be a good if the rest of the game wasn't flawed; we still have input issues from 4 years ago you never fixed, an overtuned AI that can skip frames, recover exceptional fast and is still ringing the game. Not to mention the promises to add variety to Batllegrounds, that game mode that hasn't changed since it was released 2 years ago.
How much resources and money went into these modes that could have been put into improving the game? Nobody asked for this, everybody asked for a properly working game
Just FYI, content creators don't fix bugs. There isn't money being diverted to these other areas.
Who is responsible for this content at kabam who’s name can I put to the lamest content in my lifetime and I’m a 80s kid lol.everyone keeps saying your not moving away from the game yet you have a mode now which is the same as watching paint dry. The only reason it’s been entertained is because the rewards are worth the time but it lacks everything Mcoc. The game has always been pretty community based so maybe focus more on community events make modes that are more community based or do some country based matches like a World Cup tournament have knock out rounds level the field if you can’t introduce player vs player then give everyone the same champs and the same ai. Make it a challenge but fair to all. And sit back and get some good feedback for a change lol ( just a suggestion )

...or a Mr Fantastic Snake.
I mean, how more on theme can that get? With all the lemons we get given in this game 😄
I was looking for these guys on the bottom of the screen to comment what is going on here, LOL.
