Is there any guide for the Doom Cycle ?

JessieSJessieS Member Posts: 1,791 ★★★★★
Like I assume that every different color of doombot is countered by a different champ . Now some are obvious but I don’t feel like losing pints trying to explore so is there any list of all of them ?

    No don't overthink.

Just invest on one champ fully, once you unlock 75% of personal masteries on one champ, invest points in team masteries for all 4 champs. Eventually you'll breeze through shatter mode.

Oh I already do . But to get all the objectives I need to use all the champs so I was wondering if there are specific counters that would allow me to use lesser infested champs without losing too much health

Why would I watch a twenty minute video of some guy with an annoying voice narrating if there is a normal guide I can read in twenty seconds ?

you just have to use the other champ for one wave. Then you can swap

here is my observation so far
    HT - orange guys
Mr f - dark blue, light blue
    IW - green, blue
    Thing - yellow

Fair enough, just come to the forums and demand that we explain it to you. Much better than investing your own time to learn something on YT. Great call, OP.

…..buddy this is the point of the forums.

Actually, it’s not. If you look at the kind of questions that are asked and answered effectively on the forums, they tend to be specific and limited in scope. Eg, “I need suggestions for the best tech champs to use against Sauron in Necropolis.”

Not, “hey dudes, I’m thinking about doing necropolis can you tell me the best champs to use and what I should look out for…”

Also, since I’m already here, the dimensional mode is dead simple. Pick one champ, run the first quest in story mode 3-4 times and invest in masteries. It doesn’t really matter what you choose, just build up the champ. Then work your way through story mode and shatter using your strong champ. Once it’s maxed, start building the other champs’ individual masteries and then the teamwork masteries. Repeat as necessary.

You’re not splitting the atom, it’s a very elementary game mode.

I think its totally fine to ask if there is some guide out here in the forums. Some people prefer to read instead of watching videos on topics of interest, nothing new. There may always be someone who'd feel like helping and its best to ignore if you don't want to, its just human. By your logic why would you ask your teacher anything you could just google? As long as its not spam I see no reason to judge someone asking for a shortcut.

Edit: Ok I get your point after reading the comment above and I agree that it would definitely make more sense as people would be more likely to want to help on a specific case. But I feel like its not that relevant here, both the game mode and hence the question are dead simple and specific enough imo. No big deal anyways, I'm just wasting time arguing over the smallest things I guess cause I'm a bit dumb :(

I guess this is not the dumbest most boring mode Kalamazoo ever made, if it actually needs a guide...

Alright, I give up. I'll offer help. But I know exactly what and why herbal said what he said.

Go follow that thread. Its the singlemost helfpul thread on the event without bs. The comments form players are as useful as the thread.
Gives general idea and covers FAQ's.

This is where I'm at, and no, I didnt know or even bother with what champ to use for what doombot.
I'm glad we got 8 entries as comp. The margin for error was thin without them.

Build personal masteries for Human Torch, once he's able to take entire runs with little trouble invest in team masteries starting with Invisible Woman for survival. Once you have the proper setup Torch can finish full runs with almost max health

    1. Complete using HT and build up team masteries.
    2. Build up IW individual masteries.
    3. Complete IW achievements and build up Thing masteries (swap to HT if necessary).
    4. Complete thing masteries and build up Pedro masteries (swap to HT if necessary).
    5. complete Pedro achievements and shatter runs (swap to HT if necessary).

Remember one thing you just have to play one wave with a champ to get points ,then swap in your strongest champ.

    Wow! 😑🤦‍♂️

Here's what I gathered from what OP was saying.
Firstly he mentioned what he thinks the mode works like.
Secondly, he asked a question and advice/guidance.

In Herbalman's head: "how dare you demand(?) that we explain the mode to you?"

You got real life issues, buddy.
  • Herbal_TaxmanHerbal_Taxman Member Posts: 2,689 ★★★★★
OP asked for a full written guide to a mode that frankly doesn’t need a lot of explanation.

You putting that together for them?

Jesus wept, this post is when I realised you could swap champs between waves!!!

Maybe the easiest, most simple mode yet does need some form of guide

You either seem to have deep issues or you are a troll desperately trying to get into a fight. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you have social issues so I am going to explain it to you like I would to a a small child . There are many people who love games . A lot of those people love to write guides about these games . My post is asking if anyone knows of a written guide . Because that’s the purpose of these forums . To talk and seek advice about the game . The only “demands” are in your delusional mind and whatever issues you have that triggered these delusions

Now kindly please get out of my post and either seek a therapist or a fight somewhere else . Frankly I don’t care which just do it out of my post

Most people who love games do their own research, find ways to get better at it, come up with their own strategy. Lazy people like me search for ways to cheese it. Lazier people like you find people who cheesed it and ask how they cheesed it...

I realized only yesterday and that was thanks to people commenting & sharing their knowledge in another post. I didn't know myself.

Without it I was defo gonna miss out on some milestone rewards.

    So that would be “no”?

If you read this whole stupid thread, there are about three informative comments regarding the mode, one of which is mine. Most of the comments are just idle **** about whether or not guides exist and who should make them and gaming norms or whatever.

My original point to OP was about how best to engage the people here who are in a position to help. Be direct, keep it simple. I wasn’t trolling anyone, including OP. But I find it amusing how many clowns jump in to support OP by taking pot shots at my comments — yet, strangely, they don’t take the time to actually help OP themselves.

Its cause the game mode is so dumb not much people bothered writing a guide 🤣. I mean Youtubers at least get a few cents per view...

What part of his question wasn't direct or simple enough? He asked "who counters who" which is not stated anywhere in the game and I doubt most youtube videos have it included either. He didn't ask for "what is the strategy to spend mastery points" like your informative comment explained. You clearly misunderstood or just made up your own narrative, it wasn't that deep really. Try to think again with a clearer mind maybe, its honestly not worth going on since @captain_rogers already answered the question quite well I think.

Well why don't you answer him? Oh that's right you quit the game...
