New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

Jeff The Land shark, he could be good as a science or maybe a tech mcoc I love your gam but sometimes I think your characters can be too serious so In my opinion we should add a goofy, silly lovable champion aka jeff the land shark

I'd like to recommend Jack of Hearts

He could be a Science/Cosmic champion, y'all haven't done a split champion in awhile but I think Jack would be a great choice for one. If you consider he is a alien/human hybrid along with his body being infused with zero energy. He could ramp up by the longer he's in a fight the more zero energy he builds. This could reach a critical point and cause him to overload. Y'all could have some way of him cooling himself off. Possibly the sp3 which would deal no damage to the enemy but would remove half of his currently built up energy(It would be really cool if he would fly into a dying star and relight it). The higher his zero energy charge the more damage he can do, but if he stays in overload for too long he explodes and does a set amount of damage to the enemy. He would then be locked out of being used for a fight or two, like a reverse persistent charge. He would then reform and be able to be used again at full health.

Jack's signature ability would be the Stark Scanalyzer, this would let him think at superhuman speeds and could give him more control over his zero energy build up. Possibly passive anti-evade and anti-auto block or something like that.

Jack of Hearts could have a bunch of really cool synergies. The one I'd look forward to would be moondragon and she hulk. In closing i think Jack of Hearts would be a great addition to the contest.

New Herald of Galactus character: Firelord
Character type: Cosmic
Basic style smaller fire attacks while he builds up the fire powers.
Skill 1: Flaming Javelin
(once charged this skill causes flame damage, and the flamings last for about 15 seconds)
Skill 2: Flaming Herald
(if you charge this skill has fire damage plus unleash a flurry of flaming fire damage, but if you hold and charge for skill 3)

Skill 3 Firelords Siege (Once this skill is unleash it unleashes fire damage and charged last longer, at the end of skill the Baton of fire knocks the appointment up high in to the sky where Galactus steps in with a paralizing stare, and then Firelord, finishing with a massive trust of his Fiery Baton back to the ground causing not just normal damage and fire damage but fall damage also)

Hopefully you alll like this Firelord is a character i think deserves to be playable in a game and i thought he would be a champion you all would love to use. Ive not read the comics im just going based off the looks of the characters, if anything needs editing on this let me know please. he is probably my favorite Herald the one who stands out the most to me.

I ask for nothing more than for Sliver to be added to this game. Sliver is the symbiote of black widow and imo a sick addition to the skill class. (I say skill since Agent Venom is skill and imo skill needs it more than cosmic does). I’d probably say her kit would include evade, bleed, rupture, maybe some regen and furies? All I know is her sp3 should be Sliver turning into black widows and eating the opponent’s brain (its a thing it does to get info). I think she’d be a fun addition to the game and could buff up the skill class while also fitting in well during a symbiote saga.
