Voodoo buff didn't disappoint 🔥

He is literally the next magik/doom. With 3 power steal buffs, he steals more power than the hit gives to the opponent. Idk bout his previous power burn potency but now he can easily keep opponent less than a bar of power for the entire fight. And the power dissolve damage is okay. I think the power control alone makes him great against lot of matchups.What do you guys think?

    It highly depends on sig. If you have high sig (100), and have 3 loa buffs, throw a special on even combo and you most likely get 3 buffs. At 100 sig you get around 110% increased buff duration, base buff duration is 15 secs so the buffs will last for 30+ seconds. Also if you transfer that soul thingy to opponent via special on odd combo your power steal potency will decrease, so you would like to rush to another special with even combo to take back the soul.

    When you have your soul and 3 buffs you steal more power than you give so he's insane for power control matchups

    Well actually I looked into his notes and I believe even sig 1 is enough for the power control. It grants 66% increased duration at sig1 and at sig 50 you get 100% increase. So as long as you dupe him he's great to use. I'm even more excited now.

    The sp2 feels way better than i expected, definitely requires a bit more thought but I found it really easy to get both effects up

    I always had hopes but you're right they worded it bad but the buff is solid I'll say. Both effects are easy to maintain although I wish power dissolve also last for 15 secs instead of 10. He is still heavily nullify reliant for applying all his effects, but in matches he can nullify he is really fun. Power dissolve damage is decent as well

    Just tried him against WS.

    I hate to say this, but I wonder if this is bugged in our favor. The power steal is so much more dramatic than I would have expected, I wonder if those percentages are incorrect.

    He already did. They didn't change that part. They changed the burn to steal, but it's for the same amount.

    Yeah I just tested him myself and the buff is great, you get that sp2 off and you get into an infinte loop of heavy to apply a loa and steal power, then sp1 spam and stack a ton of poisons, they'll never get another special off once you fire that sp2. Best buff by far and my favorite, even more than Cull and that's the buff I cared about the most.

    Dude.... You are giving too many details that could make them nerf him 😭
    His damage isn't anything insane tho he just has crazy power and buff control, other than countering Serpent and Dark Phoenix I don't see him really being busted so I don't think we have to worry about that lol.

    There's no way Kabam will let their baddie defenders not gain special bar and use specials, especially war.

    I feel this, havent invested into Hood for this same reason. Especially since Prestige is basically forced now after the top 30 EQ event

    The lockdown power control is the same. That's why we were saying his SP2 is worse after the buff. It used to be better than this! Same power lockdown but with more damage because he had Power Burn instead of Power Steal.

    How did people not know this?
    I think they changed it because some cosmics are immune to power burn

    I just tested him and he does feel a bit better vs newer cosmics. If you do manage to use two sp2s with different combos, you can actually get decent damage with power steal + dissolve

    Steal is much better than burn, IMO. Harder to come by and if your goal is to completely shut down their power, stealing some to help cycle your specials is preferable to the additional damage. I don’t need any more damage dealers, they’re a dime a dozen. But lock down power control? That is something else entirely and we don’t see it much these days.

    Seemingly hardly anyone knew. Lots of posters talking up his new power control prowess when that hadn't changed.

    Anyway, I'd rather have Power Burn + something for Cosmics. Now he can get too much power too easily, between the nullify with MD and the Power Steal. It's harder to keep the power and combo in just the right spot without having to waste time with the heavy. I wish DLL had kept it the same Power Burn, but added "If opponent is Cosmic, place 2% Power Dissolve instead". Easy peasy.

    I think being at rank 3 or 4 with the right relic and stat focus will bring more damage everywhere, so more damage overall, with the same power control.
