Who to R4, a tale of 2 skills…

Hit monkey has always been my favourite champion that I “didn’t have”. I only got the 5* when they became irrelevant, only got the 6* when they became irrelevant etc.

But I finally got him out of my titan nexus crystal from crucible and really really really want to R4 him.

However, there is an elephant in the room…

I currently have her at R2, she will definitely go to R3 soon, but is she worth the R4 really? I mean she will just sit on defense for me, and with her damage capping abilities it feels like the R4 wouldn’t be significantly more threatening than the R3 right?

There’s tons of other good candidates as well which complicates things, but I would like to finally make an offensive R4 given my others are Serpent and Zola (who always get banned anyways)

What do you guys think? Is a R4 yelena really going to be worth passing up on my glorious king Crit Monkey?

As you mentioned, Hit Monkey is your favourite champ, then you should definitely go for him- no question. But if you’re also looking at other formats like BGs, then maybe Yelena could be an option, though she really needs to be high sig to shine there. So go for Hit Monkey and have fun - he’ll probably get banned too, since many players have Spider-Woman ranked up and he just eats her on defense. Hit Monkey is the best choice here

I think HM was the right choice since you like him and the R4 helps a lot.

With Yelena, if they have a counter, she's going to get smashed, whether she's R3 or R4.

And if they don't have a counter, then they're going to time out, whether she's R3 or R4.

She does help with prestige, but that means an R4 sig 200 investment.

My first r4 was Odin, because he's my favourote champ in the game, and I had all the other options such as DL Thanos, Onslaught, Photon, blah blah, boringgggg....

But my favourote champ? Heck yeah! 😍
