Rebirth tokens: spend or expire?

I have 2x remaining Rebirth tokens. Probably a dumb question, but will there be a future Rebirth event I can use these tokens in, or will they go to waste if I don’t spend them now.

I also have two rebirth tokens leftover. I find it odd that Kabam didn’t at least convert them into 7* shards automatically when the event ended, if not leaving the option to trade or sell them.
