**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Drop Rates Should add up to 100 %?

So the Taskmaster FGM states
5* TM .81%
4* TM 3.9%

5* Hero 2.00%
4* Hero 15%
3* Hero 83%

So Last I checked there is 100% of something happening when a crystal is opened. Please clarify these odds.

They do. TM is outside the other calc.

    85+2+13=100

    I'm assuming 5* taskmaster is .81 of the 2% chance and 4* is 3.9% of the 15%.

But it's irrelevant anyway, drop rates are just here to distract from the bugs / lag.

I love the addition of drop rates. It is only fair that if you are gambling you know the odds.

No If you look at the arena crystals, the punisher is specifically carved out percent. 2% of what is left after TM odds, is not 2% lol.

My favorite is the gold crystal. 100% chance at gold.... god forbid the odds of the different denominations are provided.

    Especially for newer players.

punisher is specifically called out, as he is the ONLY 5*/4* in that crystal, whereas TM is a subset of a 5* pool

It gives you the chance of a featured 5* but that’s not included in the addition of the numbers to 100%. You have a 2% chance of getting a 5* but of that .02 .0081 of that is taskmaster and the remaining % is all other 5*s. It’s just saying that you have a better chance of getting taskmaster than you do a specific 5* such as stark spidey that would be in the crystal because his odds are much lower than the .0081 for task master

Actually drop rates were not added to distract from bugs/lag. Apple forced them to release drop rates.

The specific featured percentages are out of 100, that is why they are in a different block.

The rest are type based and add up to 100.
    .02 + 83.98 = 84 + .65 + .35 = 85 + 15 = 100

It seemed clear as day to me but looks like @Kabam Miike even had to ask the devs for clarity.

The rates are made to skew your perception. Like many others,
TM is grades on his own percentages.
I can tell you 1 thing for sure. That is, statistics don’t mean anything. Think about this:
    You have 70% water weight.
    I have 70% water weight.

If you weight 150lbs and I weight 250 lbs the total whole number is different but the percentage is the same.

So if u buy 100 FMG’s you will not get .81 taskmasters. Even if
You expanded it to 200 FMg’s. You won’t be GURANTEED a singe TM. The reason is because you and I do not know what the total base pool it. Only Kabam does. Many people think it is out of 0-100. But that’s false as high hell. It can be on a scale of 10,000,000 for all we know.

It’s not just smoke. I completed my BA in business admin. focusing on statistics. And still to this day I am progressing through my masters in business.

    It's because 0.81% is each time you open a Crystal. Not 0.81+0.81+0.81. There's no smoke-and-mirrors. It's RNG.

I am not questioning your education or anything here. I do think, based on the language from apple as well as what is defined as “drop rates” we are just simply talkin an RNG %. I don’t think, and certainly hope, it is not like a slot machine but more like craps.

So the idea being no matter how many you ever buy could you never guarentee a TM. It is always a 0.81% chance for each crystal. At scale he should pop at that rate but that scale is infinitely.

Kabam Miike answered my question here, which I think will help answer your question. The .81% is part of the 2%. So, .81% chance to get 5* task master, and 1.19% chance to get all other 5 stars in the pool. That add up to the 2 % 5 star chance
