**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.
Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Are arenas worth it?

Shards - I don't grind for champs. I grind for milestones. Find what's comfortable, and do that. If you still have time, do another arena. Don't grind for champs unless you are pretty sure you can get them. That's a fast way to burn out.
Resources - Gold, battlechips, units
Practice - There are a lot of champs that are hard to fight at first, and you need practice. AW is not a good place to run into a champ without some practice. Arena is a great place for that.
Over time you'll rank up more champs which only make the process easier. It is a very tedious task at the beginning, but it does get easier. And as SMiller said above, it's great practice against almost every opponent in the game.
That's because everything in this game have very bad odds and even if you grind up 10k units, there is a very good chance that you will not get anything from it, no matter if you get offer or use it for potions and refills to complete content for rewards or get featured gmc's - you still have to face 5star crystal rng which has what, 5% to get good champion? And then you have 1% to dupe the same champion from another crystal?
The only problem, which isn't a small problem, is how boring it is to grind. It took me 15-18 hours of grinding over three days to just get a 3* BP CW, and I only made top 10%. That experience kinda alienated me from playing any more arenas since, and I haven't played one since.
Just depends on whether or not you're willing to spend that sort of time.
I'm already lounging on the couch watching TV after dinner. Might as well grind through a few points while I'm at it.
If there is a champ that I want, I'll try to time it so that I have minimal disruption to my weekend plans (mowing the lawn, hanging out with the kids, etc) and do it then but I don't stress out over getting the champ like I used to.
Grinding for more champs that won't help you anywhere but arena makes no sense to me.
I am trying to change up and be ftp only, so arena and battle chips are a great source of units. Save them, spend them.
(unless it's Blade!)
Well, to get more champs you need to do arena and then you can go for better champs that you really want.
I went for so many sub-par champs, just so I can have the roster ro finally go for Medusa, Morningstar, Mephisto and Blade. You cannot get something, without doing something.
You need a good batch of champs to run arena.
You need gold to rank champs for arena.
It's a never ending cycle.
