Best time to open crystals

So Summoner Advancement (SA) ends in a couple hours and the next one starts. My alliance saves after we reach the minimum rewards bracket. NOW, I'm wondering when would be best to open crystals to get the most points out of them besides SA. I know some Solo events award points for opening crystals. Just wanting to maximize and be more efficient.

    We do the same thing, but I'm wondering if daily crystals carry over, or if they expire each day? Seeing if it makes sense to wait on those for our SA push...

    You can claim the daily and 4hr free crystals and back out . I've got like 173 free and 35 daily right now
