Signature Ability: Quantum Evade
• 20% increased flat chance to shrink and Counter Attack when attacked by the opponent. Additionally, the duration that Counter
• Attack is disabled after shrinking is reduced by 60%.
This isn't particularly well written/clear to me. The first bullet seems to tail off and be missing some information? Or was a rogue carriage return put in after "that Counter"?
Does her Quantum Evade work like other evades, or does this evade always have a counter hit to it?
Sometimes Spider-Man or Nightcrawler will evade and then back up instead of attacking into you, or you can react fast enough to evade back when they do.
Will this be possible against Wasp, or will she always hit you when a Quantum Evade is activated? From the video with adora on twitter it looks like wasp hits as she is shrinking. @1:44 for reference.
If she always counter attacks does that counter attack always crit, and does this crit count as one of the two crits from shrinking down? Is this counter attack a medium or a light attack or something else?
I know that in the past we have gotten either Google exclusive or crystal exclusive 2 stars I was curious if wasp would make an appearance in the premium crystal as a 2 star seeing Ant-Man was one of the last to be added as a 2 star?
Something is wrong with these crystals fellas. Maybe it's the overheating or lag, something is not right. Even though yesterday was an amazing day of offers by Kabam.
So if Wasp is already a glass cannon and you add the glass cannon mastery, won’t she die with only a couple hits? I don’t see the benefit of that mastery unless you are perfect at evading any defender hits and never get cornered.
"When Attacked
• Wasp has a 8% chance to shrug off all Damaging Debuffs other than Bleed, then shrink to Counter Attack, Evading the opponent’s attack and inflicting Shock, dealing 1384 Energy Damage over 8 seconds. This ability does not activate if Wasp is about to Parry an attack."
So, this is all just one ability, right?
What i'm asking is, she can't trigger this counter attack mechanic unless she is under a damaging debuff, right?
We understand that this ability would be a bit confusing, but she does not need to be under the effect of a damaging debuff in order to activate her counter attack. This basically means characters that rely on damage over time effects to bypass Evade will not work against Wasp. For example, Iceman's Cold Snap is a damage over time effect and will be Purified right before she Evades. Iceman will not be able to deal with Wasp's Evade, but there are other ways to deal with it.
So lets say a champ which inflicts no debuff attacks Wasp, she has a 28% chance to inflict energy damage on him? Or is the energy damage tied to shrugging off of a debuff?
If this is like a spiderman evade without even giving a chance to react, this is bonkers
She has a 28% chance to Evade and then inflict the Shock if it's not on cooldown. This is not tied to debuffs. The evasion will happen even if she doesn't have a debuff.

So, her Evade is like Astral Evade. It will "hit" but the Hit doesn't deal damage itself, it's from the Shock Debuff that is applied. Also, it does not Crit, and does not count as one of the two from shrinking down.

Can I ask what the design process was behind this? You know people hate evade, they hate the 3% chance that widow has, they detest the 7% or whatever spark has and they absolutely loathe the 25% chance spidey has. People post on the forums enough for kabam to know that people hate evade.
Since no champ (except iceman) can completely 100% cancel out evade, why on Earth was there a decision made that there would be a champ with the highest (to date) random evade chance and not to mention that this champion completely removes iceman as a counter. Then, even further insult to injury, this isn’t just a random evade that makes them dodge and you can recover, it’s just a 28% chance to hit you.
You know that at higher difficulty content, with this sort of damage this will be a 1 or 2 evades and then death. That means the counters like crossbones or Karnak, falcon or black widow, or the usual evade counters that are suggested, will not be useful here. Killmonger perhaps would be, Corvus and Proxima too. But why create a champ that drives such a divide between the have’s and have nots? Wasn’t that why 12.0 happened? Please Miike, take your time or whatever, but please give us some insight on what happens to make character designers think this is good for the playerbase.

Thanks, will her AI play different like Mordo as well? Would be interesting to see if her AI could weave a heavy into her combo.

You already know the answer why they design champs that make old ones abilities moot. It's all about the Benjamin's

Does the AI play differently since she can do a heavy mid/after combo similar to how Mordo's AI plays differently?
A new champ isnt worth $5,000++
Holy...cow. Couldn’t resist. But dang, that is a ton of money. Wow.
Sorry about the confusion there. We've created a fix that should take care of that issue as soon as you restart the app.

I’d like to see what the official response is.
