Thanks! Worth a shot, but these are the only real changes for that version, doubt it will have an impact.
1. Fixes an issue that prevented some users from viewing the last known location of their AirPods in Find My iPhone
2. Improves reliability of syncing mail, contacts and notes with Exchange accounts
Let us know if it works.
I can't recall when I first had the issue but know my phone was getting very hot from the game in at least December of 2017. I wouldn't be surprised if my phone were dmged by the game because I remember one night I had left it plugged in with one of MCOC open, fell asleep and my phone was burning up as my phone didn't go to lock mode like it normally did. Luckily my phone survived and didn't cause a fire or something.
I thought it was the iphone battery issue and dealt with it. Replaced the battery even though Apple told me I was still at 91% health but still did not fix the overheating or battery drainage. Basically quit playing on that phone unless I'm doing 1-2 fights as the heat causes terrible throttling.
I have to agree with whomever said it's most likely a memory leak as simple tasks in game cause the phone to overheat. Doubt the menu taxes the GPU that much to cause that much heat.
I did some reading and an article was posted (https://9to5mac.com/2018/07/09/ios-tvos-11-4-1-watchos-4-3-2-public-release/) and the comments are saying the battery drain issues present in 11.4 were fixed. We don't know if that was part of the issues being caused with MCOC or not.
1.AQ bracket problem
2. Device problem
3. Worst downtime compensation ever
4. Receiving bad review on the app store / google play store.
What else?
iOS update doesnt really help. Its the game itself bro. I opened the game and doesnt touch anything on screen, wait until 5 minutes the phone will overheat itself.
Close mcoc app then the overheat will go away and phone become normal.
I just noticed another thread get closed down. So, they are here......somewhere.
And yet my iPad pro 2017 on 11.4 has zero issues. I played for almost 3 hours this past weekend, and it never even got warm. Most of the forum posts are saying that 19.0 is causing an issue in 11.4 to be greatly increased, which is causing these issues.
iOS 11.4
Iphone 8
Carrier: Airtel
Heating issue occurs on Wi-Fi as well as cellular data
OS - iOS 11.4
Model - iPhone 7 Plus
Carrier - Verizon
Network - WIFI
You should really update the community better before situation turns even more toxic and gets worse and situation turns out to be worse than what Happened in 12.0 in most cases this is an even bigger crissis because it's wrecking people's phones and causing major problems across the board.
Honestly you guys should really just shut the game down and deal with all of this as soon as possible.
Not sure how much damage to overheating , then a sudden drop in temperature with shut down, then overheating when you restart game to play
But it puts stress on internal parts of device , the more Shut down , more stress on device
For each devices has different tolerances for each player
All Game Mode are affected by this problem
Not safe. Play at your own risk, your device is in jeopardy.
Trying to figure this out as well...
As frustrating as it as from a customer stand point not to have any communication from the company about this.. it might be in their best interest not to say much. If they said too much.. it could open them up to legal repercussions. At least that's the only reason i can see for such little communication.. although it could also be they have no clue what the issue is and just don't know what to say.. other than they are investigating..
Not really a surprise to them or they just didn’t bother.
I just tried it with the new 11.4.1 iOS and, as predicted, no luck. After 1 arena match, my ipad is hot to the touch. Once again backing away from the app slowly, so as not to get burned.
My guess is Kabam is fighting a war on two fronts: Apple and itself (bugs). As Apple pays out, they are surely coming at Kabam.
Since the mods are deleting and editing threads, but not commenting...they are either drowning or staying strategically (for liability’s sake) quiet.
Tick Tock Kabam....
How far back will Apple refund? Do you feel like there will be repercussions in the future for your refund?
So far, for me, just to July 4. But come Thursday, if no fix is in, I will be going back to them for 90 days’ worth, which I think is the limit. And even that will probably take some fighting.
I am not sure. If the close my account, it just makes it easier to walk away, I suppose. Their integrity should prevent them from doing that, but....
