**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.
Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

and by extra 5* shards you mean 500% more right?
For real! Half a crystal's worth seems good for those who couldn't do arena and other parts of the game. a 5x5 of 5000 5*, 4*, 500 units, 5 TBCC, 5 T4CC, 500k gold, 50k PHCs.
Anything is better than the crud they are feeding us at this point.
I’m confused. Why do we only pick one package when the overheating issue affected every part of the game? AQ, AW, special events, arena, etc... were all affected so shouldn’t we get all the packages??
Give Lyra a break—she’s just the messenger, and there are likely only a limited number of things she is permitted to say. The mods are put in a terrible position of taking the heat for the real decision-makers behind this one.

I can't imagine days like today are their favorites. Having to justify all this BS today. But hey, at least its Friday and they can hopefully enjoy their weekend.
This is so true for me. I used to jump on offers all the time, but Now I’m always questioning if it’s worth it. I used to spend a decent amount and I’ve really cut back because of the issues the game has had.
"taking the heat"...
I see what you did there...
Agreed. While it is the role of the spokesperson to take the abuse, it doesn’t really help to vent at them. Lyra is likely just the face they put on the announcement; I’m guessing most of the mods other than perhaps Ad0ra are on lockdown re: discussing this debacle and the talking points are to be strictly followed.
As I said earlier, a little context would be nice. I doubt we will get more than platitudes, but it would be nice to receive some reassurance that this isn’t just a dodge. It definitely is an odd decision that feels disconnected from the game team.

My guess is that it sucks to be a moderator in situations like this. The blame is in no way the moderators fault, but they take the heat for it. Even if the moderators themselves didn't approve of the compensation its not like they can tell us here because their jobs would be at stake. They have to smile and agree with everything that Kabam does even if they don't think it is the correct course of action. We know most of the moderators play the game, the difference is that they don't have the option to share their opinions. I'm sure they realize how much flack they are going to get when a post about compensation comes up which is perhaps why they become so silent.
Regardless of the discontent, I'm just going to say "Thank you.". Been around long enough to know that some people are never satisfied and won't think it's enough no matter what is put out.
But what do we get? Oh a package where we can spend time to get gold and battle credits if we GRIND. These things should be complementary.
Not to mention the final week of the GP goes to the movies happens to coincide with halls of healing, so get ready to drain that energy!
You are CRAZY if you think that you can give us 1/10 of a 5* and sweep the **** that you put your playerbase through under the rug.
Honestly I can't believe that people are saying "thanks for the free stuff Kabam!" when they charge out the a** for deals like the one we got today (t5b) and spit in the faces of mid-high placement players with 1/10 of a 5*. What am I supposed to do with that, enjoy the 5 turn to a 6?
The worst part of it all is that they thought of giving out discrete packages but didn't even entertain the thought of giving players packages based on factors that would affect how much their rewards would mean to them. "That guy's level 60 and uncollected, should we give him more than the level 3 guy who started his account 20 minutes ago? nah."

Not only is this [removed by moderation] from last summoner appreciation, kabam has also decided to act as if this is compensation, as if we’d have gotten even less than this pittance if it weren’t for the overheating issues. This is pathetic.
Sure, you can’t satisfy everyone, but kabam’s done a great job of not satisfying anyone. Just look at the stats for once; people have calculated exactly what everyone lost from the month of not being able to play, and this doesn’t scratch the surface.
And don’t tell us we should accept it because kabam told us to expect it. If someone tells you they’re gonna steal from you, you shouldn’t be okay with it when it happens because “well, they told me they would.” A wrong isn’t less wrong just because it’s expected. Funny how that works.

I do find it funny that anyone can justify them suddenly cutting 3 weeks out of the normal time for summoner appreciation, right when compensation was supposed to happen. That right there tells you all you need to know, and this person is not worth it.
