    It is the average PI of your top 5 highest PI champs, with no masteries on.

    And PI in case you’re not sure stands for Power Index (I think) and it’s the rating of a champ with or without masteries: it’s just whatever a champ’s rating is at any given time. So PI can be altered by masteries and prestige cannot. The only way to increase prestige is to rank up or increase signature level of a champ. Of course that also increases PI.

    And another nuance: because different masteries interact with champs in different ways, simply sorting your champs in your champ roster by hero rating doesn’t necessarily sort them by highest prestige. A higher PI champ may have lower Prestige than a champ that has lower PI.
    So if you’re running a Prestige calculator, always enter the top 7-10 champs and let the calculator choose which are your highest 5 Prestige champs.
