The GotG use event has me questioning if the devs have read the comics
Yondu was in the original team, Angela and Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) were other long term members for a period, and Iron Man as well.
Also, Sabertooth is easily villain,
Red Hulk is a hero only ever a “bad guy” when he’s fighting the hulk when he goes on a rampage but then Hulkbuster and Thor and Wolverine would ALSO be villains.
Superior Ironman is not a hero. Even the AI in all his other suits deemed him as such and tried to take him down because of his actions!
And then you have characters missing random things like immunities and resistances, NOT USING THEIR SWORDS AS SWORDS, and all but the first few Iron Man suits having EMP shielding (which I bring up almost specifically because of Winter Soldiers sig ability and Hawkeyes Sp1 being called EMP) and then again characters like Hawkeye clearly displaying electrical attacks (that huge electrical shock) not even tickling the enemy with shock damage, and a myriad of skill champs with unused abilities that would really help the weaker guys
And I hate to say it but ESPECIALLY because of Iron Man IW, and Domino (as well as all the new sword wielders not limited to jsut special attacks) so many more characters deserve to incorporate their weapons into basic attacks

Characters are adapated, and so some of their powers. From there , they are what the game team wants them to be
But things like Angela and Psylocke (and task master) NOT CUTTING enemies when using SWORDS sad their basic attacks? Heck Psylocke isn’t uses hers on medium and anyone saying “Angela would make bleed too powerful with her fury” keep it really low at first and if not remember that VENOM and CARNAGE are now bleed machines and Drax was doing it LOOONG before them two!
And things like Domino, IMIW, and Yondu being special snowflakes getting o use projectiles mid attack because no other gun user or iron man armor is capable of such a thing? Or the fact a lot of older Sword users only use them for special attacks like Gamora and Elektra
The tagging is bad enough but as new mechanics and features get added even “basically the same character just older” gets nothing.
But label literally just sits there “oh no no no, Domino is simply the only mercenary smart enough to realize the power of the GUTSHOT!”
(While punisher and Winter Soldier and Elektra, 3 of the best trained and/or deadliest non-super fighters, only get special attack weapons)
Well technically speaking Pheonix can kill everyone with her mind. Mechanics in game aren't always going to make sense.
The Characters exist in our own Universe (Earth-TRN517).
While all of the Champions are deeply rooted in the universe of Marvel's Comics and other entertainment properties, and are heavily inspired by those mediums, these Champions exist in a separate universe that is dictated by "the rules of Video Games". This means making balancing choices, as well as limiting some factors to fit into the game.
If we were to give an Avengers tag to everybody that's been one of the Avengers, it'd be easier to just not tag the ones that haven't been! So, we chose to only tag the ones that are Avengers in our Universe. We have to make these choices pretty often, and that's why Champions like Yondu are not considered part of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Ok miike… the avengers are 1 thing, the guardians are actually rather exclusive and could be named on on a single screen.
My other issue is the lying about Sabertooth being a MERC and red hulk being a villain! Ignoring the fact every character has basically done good and bad at times these specifically are just not true to who they are
And why can’t sword and gun users USE THEIR WEAPONS? For god’s sake Stark Spider gets his EMP WEBBING as his heavy attack but Cyclops who can literally PUNCH WITH HIS EYES can’t let out a small blast?
Are characters like Punisher and Winter Soldier simply too dumb to shoot people at close range? Is domino a genius?
WHY DID IT TAKE UP TO MARK 50 FOR STARK TO LEARN HOW TO SHOOT SOMEONE AT CLOSE RANGE?! HES AN ACTUAL GENIUS!
And then Gamora “most dangerous woman in the galaxy” should know that “fists hurt, sword hurts more”!
And SUPERIOR IRON MAN IS A SCOCIOPATH! That version of him was only ever on display during the AXIS story arc where CARNAGE WAS TRYING TO BE A PROPER HERO because morality was reversed for a bunch of heroes and villains. Tony during that arc was literally deemed a threat by all his other suits AI’s! He went to blows with other heroes not effected by the inversion spell

Not at all. Because swords can’t cut, and evil is good and good is evil.
Then what is Thanos? We see him as a bad guy, but he is willing to make a sacrifice to help everyone else. A true hero from some perspectives. Hero/villain isn’t cut and dry like that.
Woah woah woah! Thanos in game was WAAAY before Infinity War!
The REAL THANOS has killed the marvel universe twice! Once with the Gauntlet, and once by hand short of Cosmic Ghost Rider (AKA FRANK CASTLE best twist ever) and the Hulk (who he keeps as a pet) as well as the hoard of Anihilus that he goes back in time and pulls modern Thanos into the future… and then his younger self tries to kill his FUTURE SELF for being weak enough to consider needing actual help (besides Frank who is just there to annoy him).
He literally kills everyone to appease mistress death in both cases, the later “by hand” method is the result of Lady Death (death itself) going silent for no reason trying to bring her back.
Movie Thanos is vastly different to ACTUAL Thanos. The main Thanos would take 1 look at movie Thanos, feign his trust, take the first stone from the nova core and then literally rip his movie counterpart in half for stopping at only his halfway mark and then proceed with the comic arc where the snap killed EVERYONE!
