**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Ice Armor and Languor

So, this uc eq is by far easier than last month. But, the boss that i have had any challenge with is the golden symbiod. I did an experiment to see how ice armor interacted with the languor node and it, as expected, did nothing to reduce it. This seems to in error though. Ice armor says it limits the damage ‘from any source’ to 5% health lost. It does not say from a strike, or a special, or anything specific. It say ‘any source’ of damage. Shouldn’t then, according to the ice armor description, languor only do 5% damage to icey while ice armor is active?

The languor is direct damage. Direct damage isn’t mitigated at all by blocking, armor or resistances. It can be stopped by buff like indestructible or endure or a mechanic like Mephisto when he is healing. They temporarily make the champ immune to all damage but that’s about it. Same thing can happen against BPCW if he has a bunch of reflection charges and uses an l3. The physical part of the special only can do the 5% but the reflected charges take directly from the health bar.

The problem is that it says “any source”

I agree it’s not completely clear by the description alone. I’m not saying it’s correct or incorrect, just stating how it works. It’s a consequence of having so many champs and abilities that some will contradict each other. Like Corvus having guaranteed Crits and Antman’s glancing hits that cannot crit. They still show up in big yellow letters but they have the reduced damage. Or you can take more than 5% damage from blocking with Iceman and it won’t remove ice armor.

"Any source" doesn't include direct damage. It's been like that for years, since the introduction of characters like magneto

Yep. Dormammu comes to mind with his heavy. Safeguard bypass
