**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

“Live” duel competition

Thoughts on a Live Duel competition.

Base the set up like a grand slam tennis event.

Duel against a live player and not an AI defender.

Tks

    Servers would die

That kind of presupposes the servers can do this at all in the first place, which they very certainly can't. It isn't a question of if they are fast enough and work hard enough they can make this happen. If the game isn't programmed from the start to allow for this kind of functionality, then it is incredibly difficult to retrofit it after the fact. The fact that all combat happens client-side pretty much tells me the game has no way to support this kind of functionality.

Yay for someone who understands networking!

The way combat works won’t allow it, people get attacks in by countering opponent attacks, in a true pvp people just wont attack, and it would hours be a game of blocking forever and using a champ like void who slowly kills you passively

So no parry, no special bait, yeah sounds so dumb.

That part wouldn't be hard to address. PvP fights could have a version of Bane present, which would basically act like a shot clock. But separate from the technological barriers, there are lots of other balance issues. Unblockable attacks would be far more valuable in PvP. Things like taunt would be essentially worthless. And you're far more likely to see all-or-nothing fights where first one to three bars wins without some other compensating mechanic.

I think Quake would be better.

A part from how combat would actually be(which would have some fundamental problems), it would be a technical nightmare for Kabam. I can imagine all the complaining about lag, disconnects, cheating, etc, already.
    No chance of this happening.
