Zero. I stockpile pots from the glory store. Every day the potions reset. In 3 weeks you can cap out your potions assuming you have 0 of each for roughly 500 a day. You should still have a little glory leftover to buy a couple T1A or T4B. Once you stockpile you just refill as needed.
Plat 2/3, Tier 2/3. Spend 0 units.
Glory if you need pots but mostly I use on T2a, T1a, and occasionally t4b. Use Loyalty for boosts as it is worthless for anything else.
I'm in tier 4. And quite surprised many of you guys think that reward for winning aw is not worthwhile cause I earn about 700-800 5*shards and 500-600 4* shards by winning each AW. Seems this is very worthwhilw to me
Well, whether the rewards in AW are worth the expense depends, of course, on how high your tier is (and therefore how high the rewards are) and how much it is costing you to maintain that tier. All tiers are worth it if you spend a small enough on them, and all tiers are not worth it if you spend a high enough amount on them. It comes down to players finding the balance point, and spending no more on war than the rewards they can achieve with that expenditure.
I just buy boosts with loyalty when they are available. Rarely ever use potions but if I do run low I buy them with glory.
I never understood boosting for every other fight. Completely unnecessary unless you are in plat 1 or higher.
Our guys had a glimpse of how higher tier players boost in season 2, our war rating was 2600-2700 then. It’s been common for our newer alliance to see opponents in tier 4 boost as much as our season 2 tier 2 opponents did. I feel the same as @Shrimkins, if you’re not contending for platinum 1 or master dropping more than an odin’s worth of units for AW every week is overkill. The rewards don’t justify that kind of boosting for platinum 2 or lower rank rewards.
To answer the OP’s question, I haven’t used units on AW potions since season 1. Ranking up the right attackers and being in an alliance that manages path assignments well usually means you’re only using glory for AW potions.
I don’t spend units in wars but I have bought offers that include 30% boosts. Currently a retired master player in a plat 1 alliance. I spend glory on any potions to stay at 20/20. I don’t buy boosts unless it is included in an offer I get.

^^^currently in a war with this guy and he's really good! I buy one attack and one health boost per war (plat 3).

@Solrac_2 You guys did exceptional against us. Congrats on the win, back to the drawing board for defender placement 😅
