**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Hyperion Counter-Play

SomeoneElseSomeoneElse Posts: 424 ★★★
This is really more about countering Power Gain, but it applies mostly to the higher 5* duped Hyperions because the Power Gain is so extreme.

Is there any other counter play besides trying to bait SP1/SP2 before he hits SP3? I don't have many champs with Power Block or Power Drain, and those that I do have can't apply it reliably or fast enough. The known bugs with dashing and commands also factor into my frustration with this.

It seems like this is more luck than skill, which I find very annoying. Sometimes, the AI will use specials a lot. Other times, the AI doesn't seem to want to use them at all, and then I'm destroyed by an L3.

Hit him to l1... bait as soon as he gets there rinse and repeat. It's sometimes 1 or 2 hits at a time and slower fight. It really easy

He's easily one of those champs I hate fighting. @Yelin547 is right though about the baiting of the s1. If it gets to s2 I think it is harder to bait his special. I think sometimes it takes a little luck.

I understand that, and that's what I try to do, but like I said, sometimes he won't bait. The pro videos I have watched say baiting doesn't always work. That makes it more about luck.

It seems like the higher level Hyperions can get to L3 with a few hits and a Power Gain. It is very fast.

I agree that baiting SP1 seems to be a lot easier. That goes for any champion. One combo and a power gain can get him to L2 at least for the 5*s.

I would not say every champ. I personally prefer baiting the s2 of Black Bolt and IP. It's relatively easy to do. I also prefer baiting the s2 of Elektra since it is easier to evade than her first special. Same for Spider-man.

It really is a lot about baiting the SP1. Once you get the cycle going, the match ends pretty quickly. He's one of the few champs that I don't need parry to beat and has become quite easy.

This is coming from the guy who still gets whooped by AV and BPCW...

Playing him parry/stun immune would help you in wars where I have seen him placed occasionally on the stun immune mini-boss node.
