5* Shards From Featured Champ Dupe

So I just found out when you get the featured champ from arena, you don't get 275 shards from duping then, only 100. What gives here? I recall seeing numerous times from mods that getting the featured champ from arenas is exactly like pulling one from the crystals. So why are we only getting 100 5* from the dupe?

    The question is why? It's supposed to be a dupe exactly like pulling the champ from a crystal.
