**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

AQ Map 7 isn't doing a 20x multiplier?

I am not 100% sure, but maybe there is a diminishing return on the multiplier? The multiplier may not directly impact score... example 20x = 20x more points. It could be that the 20x is a multiplier to the prestige as to what bracket of points/difficulty you will be in. As you get higher in brackets, you have a much broader range of base score (assuming 20 x Prestige) in each bracket.

    basepoints x prestige x mapmultiplier = xx
    (bp x mm) x p = xx
    bp x (mm x p) = xx
    (bp x p) x mm = xx

all simple maths give the same answer

But... I was stating their may be a bracket that your xx is used to determine the points given and that your xx is not the points you actually get.
    1-25,000 = 1,000 points
    25,001-75,000 = 5,000 points
    75,001-150,000 = 10,000 points
    150,001-250,000 = 15k points
    250,001-450,000 = 27k points

You are assuming that the 20x is a direct representation of the points you receive. There may well be a ranking to the points similar to this.

Also, it may be a base with a modifier that is attached based at which part of the bracket your score falls in. It is all guess work on our part, but as someone posted in the release notes... the map nets 25% more points then Map 6. So, there is some calculation that is used that incorporates the 20 multiplier, and per Kabam it only next 25% more points between map 6 and 7

Since Kabam has all the exact answers to how they calculate things, why not scrub the multiplier, and instead, have a range of possible points that can be gotten for that map?

Then, officers can choose the point total range they want to compete at to get at the milestone goal they are shooting for, and it would be transparent on how many points are possible per map?

@Kabam Miike wouldn't that work out best for everyone?

(At your current alliance's prestige level of XXXX we have calculated:
Map Tier 1: max possible points: 1M
Map Tier 2: max possible points: 2M
    ...
    ...
Map Tier 6: max possible points: 14M
Map Tier 7: max possible points: 17M

and of course, that can & will change when prestige goes up/down for the next round of AQ.

Why not scrub the system and make it so officers can select difficulty instead of forcing pretige ranks players may hate but need to stay in the top ranks.

Would make even more sense nobody wants an r5 sig 200 Phoenix. But prestige says shes good for you

That is a an interesting idea... must say the only argument I see is from alliances that ranked solely for Prestige in order to be competitive in AQ.

Kabam fixed this it seems... the multipliers have changed.

@Kabam Miike any comment on the change?
  • I detailed the breakdown of the changes to AQ Multiplier here...
    https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/127887/recent-change-to-aq-map-points-multipliers#latest

And no Moderator comment there either, as to whether the new Multipliers reflect what was always being given for points (ie, original 20x Map-7 was never actually giving twice the points as the 10x Map-6, but other Maps have since changed too). Or are the newly revised Multipliers an actual change to how many points each map are now rewarding.
