**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Why is War Machine not an Avenger?

Just asking.

He works for the government. The avengers don’t.

    He just ... Isn't ...
Disregard movies or comics. No reason for him to be an avenger, apart from the decision of the team

War machine stories don’t impress avengers.

Boom! Is this the tank you're looking for? *crickets* That story normally kills...

He has been an Avenger in the comics and is an Avenger from the end of AoU to IW. Who says he isn't?

Because he's not actually an Avenger? I'm not sure why people keep asking, did I miss War Machine being included in all those Avenger moments or something?

He's a friend, he's fought with them. But he's kinda his own person, does his own thing and helps when needed.

He became an official Avenger in Age of Ultron.

    Did he though?

    That's plain wrong.

But even if I simply accepted that for the sake of the argument, the war machine character in mcoc is still a different entity than the mcu war machine.
No, that's correct. In the MCU, War Machine is an Avenger.

He got the most garbage of all suits Stark has ever created, not good enough to be avenger. But then again they accepted Hawkeye for some reason, so I don't know

he's a frigging Avenger in the frigging movies. Him, Cap, Widow, Witch, Vision and Falcon are the Avengers right there at the end of AoU. He's an Avenger in Civil War when the whole team are discussing the Accords. Him, Iron Man and Vision are the only Avengers left at the end of Civil War.

    HE. IS. AN. AVENGER.

He stays in the AVENGERS COMPOUND

    Just asking.

So tony and thor aren't avengers, because they aren't present in that scene?

He is not an avenger. Technically natasha isn't an avenger either in the movies.
Right, Avengers only wear a big T-shirt that spells : "I AM A FREAKIN' AVENGER, PUNK!".

    Makes total sense now!

Oh boy... James Rhodes has always been part of the us military. The us military even owns his suit.
He is allowed and knowing ross to at least some extend even ordered to work with the avengers.

Him officially being one would collide with his position in the us military, though. It's simply incorrect.

He is presented as an Avenger in the last scene of AoU. He and Stark negotiated the Sokovia Accords. He got court marshalled because he sided with Cap at the end. In IW, he fought with Cap in Wakanda. War Machine is an Avenger, end of story.

Again, that's a movie, not this game. Two different things that happen in two different universe's, and you shouldn't create your argument just based on that.
If they wanted Dormammu or Kingpin to be avengers in this game, they could very well do it

Perhaps his character tag was never updated.

that comment was in regard to numnuts up there claiming Rhodey's not an Avenger in the movies when, CLEARLY, he is.

At the end of Age of Ultron, no; neither Thor nor Iron Man are Avengers. Stark is supposedly giving it up for Pepper and Thor leaves to search for the Infinity stones. Are you seriously this dense that you don't get the changing roster, or have you never watched the movies?

People join, leave and rejoin teams all the time in comics; some have done it in the movies too.

He was laid off after his back injury. The Avengers are now being sued for violations of the ADA.
