Alongside this release, we’re happy to announce a Legends Run for Chapter 1! This Legends run will begin the moment you start Act 6 Chapter 1, and end the moment you 100% explore all Quests in the Chapter. You’ll have until April 13th at 10:00:00 AM PDT to log a time. In a new turn of events, we’ll also be featuring a Legends Run for all Chapters of Act 6, and a special Act Legends Reward throughout the release of Act 6! The top times for each Chapter’s Legends will be collected, and awarded with a new 6-Star Champion never before owned by any Summoner!

In order to win the Act Legends Reward, you’ll need to place in the top times of each Chapter, as follows:

Chapter 1 - Top 20 Times
Chapter 2 - Top 40 Times
Chapter 3 - Top 60 Times
Chapter 4 - Top 100 Times

If you happen to qualify for all 4 Chapters, you’ll receive the Champion 4 times, meaning you can Awaken them this way! We will have more to reveal about each Chapter’s and the Act Legends rewards in the future, but that’s all we have for you for now.

CHAMPION REQUIREMENTS
Act 6 is some of the most challenging content to date, and the perils within require only the strongest Champions of The Contest. Chapter 1 will contain CHAMPION REQUIREMENTS that will restrict the Champions you use to ONLY 5 and 6-Star Champions.

BUFFS
There are 7 new buffs making an appearance in Act 6 Chapter 1. Each Quest features one or more of these Buffs as Global effects, so you’ll need to bring your best. See below for each Buff and a little description of our intentions with it.

NO RETREAT! - When the Attacker dashes back, they gain Degen Timer for 1.2 seconds. Dashing back again while the Degen Timer is active causes a Passive Degen, dealing 200% of the Defender's Attack as direct damage over 6 seconds.
This Buff is meant to impose the mentality of its title: Do not retreat. While other similar Buffs like Caltrops can be easily countered with an Immunity, No Retreat requires careful planning and execution on playstyle to overcome. No Retreat was designed to be possible - but challenging - to avoid.

Special Delivery - The Attacker begins the fight with 15 Combo charges. Each landed basic attack decreases the Combo charges by 1, and launching a Special Attack will reset the charges. If all charges are removed, they are reset, and the Attacker suffers a Passive Degen equal to 100% of the Defender's Attack Rating over 4 seconds.
Similar to fighting Thor Ragnarok, this Buff will require you to make sure you have a Special Attack at the ready, but there are sure to be challenges to that strategy strewn throughout…

Combo Party - For every 10 hits of the Combo Meter, the Attacker gains a permanent Cruelty Buff, granting +500 Crit Damage Rating. When struck, the Attacker loses all Cruelty Buffs if their combo meter is lost and takes 40% of the Defender's attack as direct damage for each Buff removed this way.
This buff is generally quite simple, and is intended to create a “ride the line” feeling - you want to get your combo count up, but losing it will cost you dearly.

Long Distance Relationship - While close to the Defender, the Attacker gains a Weakness Debuff every 3 seconds, reducing their attack by 10% permanently. Staying far away from the Defender causes these Weakness effects to fall off.
The goal here is to encourage you to find “openings” to deal as much damage as possible. Waste those openings, or just spend too long near the opponent, and you’ll need to back off in order to gain your damage back. If you’re pinned in a corner, you’ll want to use your abilities to create some space and start dealing damage again.

Close Encounters - While close to the Defender the Attacker Regenerates 1% of their Max Health every second. While far away from the Defender, the Attack Degenerates 3% of their Max Health every second.
Sort of the inverse of Long Distance Relationship, Close Encounters encourages you to stay as close to the Defender as possible, and being efficient as you bait specials or get out of the way of abilities that could cause trouble up close (like Mephisto or Omega Red).

Power Struggle - The Attacker cannot gain Power during the fight through normal means. Each time the Defender reaches a full bar of Power, the Attacker is granted one as well and whenever the Defender launches a Special Attack, the Attacker loses an equal amount of Power.
This one is all about a “use it or lose it” mentality - you’ll want to make sure you’re keeping an eye on your Opponent’s power and how it relates to your own. Characters who can control power using their specials, like Vision or Magik, will excel here.

Hurt Locker - Using the same type of Special Attack twice in a row gives the Attacker a Delayed Blast charge for 5 seconds which may be removed by landing a Heavy Attack. If the Blast expires, the Attacker takes 50% of their Health as direct damage.
This one is (as the name might suggest) focused on creating a “bomb defusal” moment while you play. If you make a mistake, you’ll have a small window to correct it before your mistake comes back to bite you. Rest assured there will be challenges that will threaten to trip you up…

Keep in mind these are approximate - there is some variation around the values but in general, this is what you can expect:

In general, quests in Chapter 1 have a consistent energy requirement the whole way through. On average, All quests in Chapter 1 will have:

BECOME A CAVALIER
A new Act, a new Progression point! Summoners that complete Act 6 Chapter 1 will gain the new designation of “Cavalier”!

This designation is not as game changing as Uncollected, and is a step up similar in scope to becoming Contender, Proven or Conqueror.

Cavaliers will have access to a brand new Cavalier Crystal that guarantees at least a 3-Star Champion with a 38% chance at a 4-Star Champion, an 11% chance at a 5-Star Champions, and a rare 1% chance of a 6 Star Champion! These Crystals will be available for 200 units each.

Cavaliers will also have access to:

- A 25 Unit Discount on Grandmaster Crystals
- A new Cavalier Calendar in place of the Grandmaster Calendar that will grant a Grandmaster Crystal over 7 days, instead of 14
- An upgraded Daily Crystal that contains a rare chance of T5B Fragments, 5-Star Shards, or 6-Star Shards, and double the amount of - T2A Fragments, T4CC Fragments, and T4B Fragments!
- A slightly upgraded Free (4-hour) Crystal with more Gold!

This is the next step after becoming Uncollected, and we plan to continue to add more as the Story progresses!

I'm not sitting on a stellar Roster, but it's not horrible. I even used a Skill Gem on HE and took him to R4 because my pulls are hit-or-miss. The point I'm making is in order for Act 6 to exist, it has to be harder than Act 5. 4*s carried people through Act 5. They can't be expected to do the same for Act 6. Which means we either have to make do with what we have, or wait for something else to come along. Not the end of the world. It'll still be there. No one says people have to rush out and buy every Crystal that comes. You could, if you didn't have patience. However, I find it extremely hard to believe that out of an average of let's say, 30 or 40 5*s in someone's Roster, there's not something they can use to get started on it. Again, if people are waiting around for Corvus, Ghost, or Aegon, they could be using what they have in the meantime.
I used 4* in variant aswell so dont u start with your “act 6 is harder”
And second if this 4* ban does not affect you why are you trying to ruin other peoples fun in game who game is affected?
I'm not trying to ruin anything. It's not my decision. It was theirs, and they made it. It also affects me because I'm a Player. The same roadblock applies to me too.
I'm trying to explain the situation. If you can take a 4* into Variant, then you should have no problems taking your 5*s into Act 6.
I managed to take 4* to variant because they are still strong champions and they are much stronger than my 5* roster just as i said before, i dont know why i have to keep on repeating myself.
There's literally a few Champs that aren't available as 5*s. If you have the skill to make it through Variant with 4* strong Champs, then you have the skill to make it through Act 6 with mediocre Champs. 100%. That's the point I was trying to make. People get so hung up on having the same Champs they don't see their own skill and ability to use others.

That doesn’t make any sense. 4* AA is still AA and doesn’t what AA does. Using a mediocre champ in place of a AA when AA is needed doesn’t make any sense.

It makes perfect sense when you don't have the 5* version.

I asked for clarification on the upcoming content restrictions for act 6.2 a few days ago and still haven't seen a mod respond. With the direction the contest is going are we now expected to invest all resources into the 6*s we pull now regardless of the lack of utility they may have? You have given us some notice about act 6.2 restrictions unlike the short notice you gave for act 6.1 I would be curious to know is the restrictions for act 6.2 going to be 6*s by class to enter a lane or just x number of 6*s? It would be helpful to have a direction for our future rankup decisions as well as an idea on the value of the resources you keep selling

The requirements in Chapter 1 are set as a primer for rest of Act 6. Act 6 Chapter 2 and beyond will also have Champion Requirements, including some more stringent ones like paths that have Class Requirements for your entire team, and Rarity requirements where you must bring [X] amount of 5-Star or 6-Star Champions to complete the quest path.
@Kabam Miike, Kabam absolutely lost my support of the 4* ban with this. I mean, Act 5 release was over the course of a few months. To go from a 4* gate, to path gates of 6* is a little too much, especially if you stagger class and rarity requirements (all must be Science and 3 of this must be 6*).

6* are far too rare to put a restriction or gate of having. I can understand the 4* gates... as many players have a plethora of 5* (though maybe not ones that give the best synergies). I am sorry, but I just joined the rest of the community on this issue.

This is one of the reasons I am against the rarity gate because of the fear of where it would lead. As we can see from the response those fears are justified because its happening.

There has never been a path in any quest that required multiple different things. So we most likely wont see path that require 6* champs of specific classes

It’s the depreciation on the investment people have made into 4*s (and now apparently 5*s) that is truly shocking. And the fact that Kabam seems hell bent on doing this regardless of the community’s opinions does not instill trust that this game will be pleasant for the mid-level players in a years time.

I'd say that depends on the players. If people pilot then there will probably be bans, if not then not but I'm not sure how many people would risk losing an account that is strong enough for Act 6

There has never been content that banned characters by rarity rating before now. While I'd like to believe they would not go to the extent of multiple different things the current gate on act 6 shows we have zero reason to believe they wont go to this extreme to remove certain champs from being viable counters to different content

Fed up of the commu ity being treated so poorly. I spend about £30 a month on this game, i know this isnt a great amount of money to some people.....i will never spend anymore now as all i read is Kabam greed ;(

I get the idea of hard gates. Must be level 25 or 40 or whatever. Must have certain roster depth for certain dungeon rewards. I dont even hate the idea of special events (i call back issues a special event because hey that's where it is) having roster restrictions.

A hard gate like this for 4* champs on the primary game content is an oversight. Assuming that changing that is a non-starter I would suggest you offer rank down tickets. My Thor Ragnarok is useless without his synergy. He cleared almost all of act 5 at rank 4 for me complimented by some 4* for synergy.

I made rank up decisions based on the synergy options he had. Taking that away for your primary game content drastically changes his value. I know RDT are a bit of a taboo concept but when you make such a dramatic change TO THE PRIMARY game mode it seems appropriate to bring that idea to the discussion. I am glad I didn't use an awakening gem on ghost right now because my wasp is a 4*.

I have to say I just became uncollected about 2 months ago, my 5* roster is not great, but it is decent and I have no 6* so I wasn't planning on trying out act 6 anytime soon, but I am a part of the mcoc community and I really do not understand kabam. First I think this proves kabam doesn't read these forums or really care much about what we think as a community and after reading the latest news about more requirements in the later chapters of act 6, (certain amount of 5* & 6* u have to have to run that chapter) it seems pretty clear that kabam is alienating a large chunk of the community and are making act 6, for the most part, for the whales in the game so if u are "free to play" or like myself spend some but not alot kabam is saying sorry this is not for u to prob 75%, if not more, of the community who don't buy every deal in the game. I understand the idea behind dividing the summoners by uncollected and above this is for u and not uncollected this is for you, until u become uncollected and had kabam done that with act 6 it prob would have been fine but instead they all but said "we only care about the people who spend alot of money on this game" and to the rest of us losers who don't, who grind there life away for resources we don't matter, we just have to take the **** sandwich kabam is feeding us and thank them for it and ask for seconds. I truly hope as a community we can get together, whales and all, to do something to make kabam understand we have the power here, they seemed to have forgotten that AGAIN.
