No Sound out of nowhere? iPhone X iOS 12.1.4

So I was playing Arena/War tonight and one moment I have sound and the next there's nothing. My Volumes turned up in game and on my phone, and all other apps are still giving out sound. I've tried restarting the game, my phone, and closing all the apps in the background, so far nothing's helped.

Going to try reinstalling later tonight if it doesn't fix itself by then.

    To give an update, I tried reinstalling and still no sound. Now i'm really confused on what to do.

    Well that took a while but problem solved. I uninstalled, turned off my phone, reinstalled again and finally it worked, yay lol

    its gonna happen again and again
    been happening to me since day 1
    just a device reboot solves it,no need to delete&reinstall

    On an iPad, iOS 11.x.x would happen very rarely to me too. Just reboot device and sound comes back.

    Another idea, I found the flipping the silence switch on the top left of the phone to be the fix
