Why is Yondu not a Guardians?

Whenever Kabam has an event that requires a Guardians in order to get points Yondu is not included. Why is that? Forgetting it's a different guardians than the classic version (who should be in MCOC) Kabam even seems to think at least to some point that he is as the recent Guardians crystal shows (he was one of the available characters in the crystal). Unless Kabam has plans to add more of the original Guardians in the near futurue I would like to see Yondu added to the list of characters that count as a Guardians on special events.

    Actually Yondu was an OG Guardian. The guardians we know right now are actually the second ones. It's touched briefly in GotG 2.

    Yes but in gotg1 he was a ravager. When gotg2 started he was still a ravager and marvel did not want to spoil it to average movie goers and fans too soon therefore he did not get the guardians tag. It woulde spoiled parts of the movie.

    He wasn't a Guardian when they were introduced to the game.

    He became a guardian at the end of gotg2. Which was when he was released for the movie event so yes he was a guardian. Since this is how the game does it with other champs like stark enhanced spiderman, wasn’t an avenger in homecoming, but became one in infinity war...Yondu should have the guardians tag because he was when released.

    He betrayed the Ravagers to help them, but became an honorary Guardian after his death, if we were being technical.

    I actually never noticed Stark Spidey didn't show up as an Avenger.
