And the fact there is no buildup to it - is amazing!!!
9 energy and u can go again!
I'm just saying it's a bit much for content based on a milestone in 5.2.6. This will bar a ton of recent Uncollected players from even a completion. RIP
If it's a fight with a high skill cap, players without that skill level shouldn't be awarded those rewards, as simple as that. No one is entitled to Uncollected EQ rewards. You guys are making it sound as though Uncollected players are automatically entitled to it.
Point is, there’s no “gauge” in difficulty on how difficult Uncollected EQ should be. Some months it can be harder, some months can be easier. No one forced anyone to HAVE to do it. You’re just putting that on yourself.
(Side note, you just explored your first UC EQ last month, which means your roster and skill is just starting to develop. Take some time to practice and don’t be stressed over needing to explore it month to month. There’s still a long way to go.)
Every other difficulty stays consistent so I don't see why anyone would expect UC to be any different. I'm cool with this kind of challenge being added to the game, but it belongs in a separate piece of content.
So occasional spikes in difficulty once in awhile isn't unexpected. This, however, is compensated with a much shorter EQ and only one final boss to fight.
Anyways, I still feel it should be a bit more consistent. But it's not a big deal though, I'll just keep working on my roster and skills for the next one. Can't catch em all
You’ll get to the point where UC is pretty easy for you eventually. Don’t give up.😊
Cheers
I FINALLY get it. I sat and watched hundreds, if not thousands of summoners collectively grab their proverbial pitch forks for another round of “You Screwed Up Kabam.” I am an adamant people watcher and forum lurker, so the anger was entertainment... in the beginning.
But then something happened. Along the last few months I’ve slowly started making my strides to this coveted “endgame” designation. Managed to get my hands on another Six star......cyclops. I didn’t fret. I said to myself, “it could be worse...there’s always groot.”
I opened THREE five star crystals last month....hello Agent Venom dupe, and symbiotic spider man, and miles morales. Sure is peculiar how it’s 2019 and I have quiet a lot of old champs in these 5* crystals that land in my lap. But nevertheless, “Ahhh...I’m sure I’ll do better next month with Endgame coming out.”
Fast forward to a few hours ago. After hearing the forums almost burn down due to disappointment and frustration, I said to myself “I totally can beat this nutjob of a boss that is Thanos.”
After an undisclosed amount of revives...Nameless Thanos was finally conquered. I seriously have to admit...that was THE HARDEST BOSS I’ve faced. Ever. “After that, I GOTTA completely explore this and get the shards for another 5 star at least.”
An undisclosed amount of energy revives later...I want everybody to welcome my DUPED GROOT TO MY 5 stars!!!!!!!! 👀🤔😔😒😬🥺
It’s successive and repeated stings like this that make me...a very understanding, very supportive (even with my wallet) player....want to grab a pitch fork and ride with the mass hysteria. In the last few months, i hate to admit, but it definitely feels like more work than reward.
No excitement, no drive, nothing....just “I literally listened to the avengers theme song on repeat while I completed this month’s content and got.....ANOTHER GROOT.”
This. This is the endgame. This is like what it felt like when Thanos won in Infinity War. I’m standing here with no hope. I literally do NOT look forward to opening crystals. I’m in mid-tier limbo. Skills and revives can push me through most of the content, but roster specific events I get railroaded. “Hey guy, complete more content and get better champs.” Oh yeah? Ok...
Yup...I’m over here trying. But Old man Logan, Magneto, Spider man Morales, Agent Venom, and my duped groot don’t exactly scream out “this man is about to clear out some content! Someone get this main shield!”
More like “this man is depressed from the trash champs and is about to delete and clear out space on his phone.”
This can’t be it, right Kabam? Surely y’all have something up your sleeve to swing the morale back in favor of us patient ones? Sure I get the whole RNG speech. But when someone shuts up, spends hours playing possibly one of the most over-tuned bosses released, and goes about tackling content others deem a disappointment...surely there’s more saving grace than a duped Groot, and 30 more days of watching my 3 star Ironman get demolished.
Maybe I should join the “Groot needs a buff” thread?
Maybe I should suck it up buttercup?
Maybe I am (insert Endgame Spoiler) and just sacrificed myself and my units for the greater good of all of the MCOC?
Maybe I’ll finally pull a Magic or Hyperion next since my roster loves the old champs?
Maybe this is just what it feels like playing in this state of the game?
Maybe this is life’s way of saying stop playing a mobile game and get back to life...baaaaack to reality?
Idk. I really want to see this game shine. I mean seriously, all of our childhood characters coming to life in a (potentially) cool game. But there’s gotta be something on the horizon right Kabam?
Honestly I don’t even watch crystal openings anymore. I’ve got an alliance mate that just randomly decided to buy a Ronin Crystal. Pulled a 5 star Ronin. WHERE IS MY PITCH FORK.
For me the game is just as much a part of real life as anything else. I play it in real life, just like I watch TV in real life, go to movies in real life, eat at restaurants in real life, go on vacation in real life. I don't think of the game as a fake world where I do fake work for fake compensation. I think the people who do are probably far more likely to be frustrated with the game, because they don't play a game in real life, they think they are doing a game-job in game-life and deserve better game-pay for their game-work. That's something they are never going to get consistently, if ever.
Which in-game rewards are worth my time? None of them are. If Kabam multiplied all the in-game rewards by a factor of twenty, it would still be the case that none of them would be worth my time to earn. None of these rewards are of any use, or any value, to me outside of the game, and they are only worth anything in the game in terms of the progress I can make in the game. Which itself is completely worthless unless I actually enjoy playing the game. Playing a game you don't enjoy actually playing outside of the rewards is like going on a vacation you hate because it generates the best Instagram-worthy pictures. It is kind of insane.
The Spiked Armor path requires you to traverse it twice: once down the path that goes through Doc Ock and once down the path that doesn’t.
It’s an odd design decision that looks like another path or node may have been considered but never got added. Alternatively, it may be a conscious design decision to force players twice down a Spiked Armor path. I don’t recall that happening recently in EQ, but in my opinion, requiring players to hit the same path (essentially) twice is poor design.
Dr. Zola
I did end up using potions, but not much and no units. I probably could have done a potion-free run eventually, but I honestly got so far on one run on Saturday that I decided to just revive and finish. Took one team revive, two single revives, and a bunch of easily farmable heals.
There have been uncollected months that took me more potions and more time to clear than Thanos. He's concentrated difficulty, but you only have to beat him once. When the first infinity Thanos came out, I said I thought that's how you make interesting difficulty and I wouldn't mind seeing something like it come out again. I think this was a faster, tighter version of the same thing, and I'd be fine with something like this coming out every once in a while. I actually prefer it to boss rush-type events, although I'm generally fine with those as well.
