A doubt about Power Strings

Hey guys,
I wanna know why the SP3 isn't affected by Power Strings BEFORE SP3 goes
For example: if the defender uses SP1/SP2 while has Power String and low health, then usually dies before SP goes, but it doesn't happen with SP3. Firstly SP3 goes and secondly they die (if they don't die with SP3 of course)
Technically it's a mistake, isn't? Thoughts?
