Question about available Champs in Roster

Here I have two screen shots of 5* Mutant Champs. One of my roster and one from a friends.
Now my question is.... Why is the available champs not the same? Sabertooth for instance is in one but not the other.....Why?.
We are a couple of friend playing and in each class our available characters are different.

    I think it means that you don’t have these champions as a 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 stars.
    Maybe you have a Sabertooth and he doesn’t?

    If you have a champion irregardless of the stars then that champion won't show up greyed out.
