Passive buffs not counted as buffs?

So I have 4 lanes left for 100% 6.1.6, but don’t understand the 3 buffs or more line.

How come passive furies or passive buffs in general don’t apply? I took thing in, got 40 fury. No damage. Ok, I have Champion so let’s add as many fury as I can. I get 5 additional fury. No damage to defender.

What gives? Not many reasonable options for me, at least not against miles Spider-Man. He evades too much. Hyperion has a hard time building fury. I have Medusa and Angela, but not enough resources to rank them up at the moment. Oh well. Waiting game it is.

Any other champs with tons of buffs I’m missing out on?

Also, why come killmonger passive armor doesn’t save me from havok?

    I did that path with Hype mainly. Brought Hela (useless) and Angela (decent), but Hype destroyed it. Just parry-heavy over and over and then SP3 when you get it. SS is the only issue, and Magik’s limbo, iirc

    Like the previous posted said, passive buffs don't exist in this game.
    The node is clear. You need to have buffs. Having abilities that increases your attack is not enough to be considered a buff.

    Buffs are a category to themselves. The easiest way to distinguish them is by the border around the icons, Buffs will have a border and passives will not. Also the pause menu can identify them for you.

    Furthermore Hela is an option, at r2 she took 65% from Sym Supreme on that path for me with 1 revive.

    The node is clear. You need to have buffs. Having abilities that increases your attack is not enough to be considered a buff.

    Not anymore. You are doing a disservice to the community by holding on to antiquated terminology.
    I’m using kabams terminology. Can you cite where it’s been shown to be phased out, changed or been replaced ?

    Yes, I can demonstrate Passive/Active Buff/Debuff once being a thing then being phased out and later defined as impossible, but unless you are willing to accept it I might as well be pissing up a rope.

    First there was a change to the icons to help players tell the difference between passive and active. Patch 15.1 did this, and used Active/Passive Buff/Debuff terminology. By Patch 19.0 They were dropping the term Passive Buff. And ~6 months ago defined buffs as requiring a white bordered icon. An icon denoting a buff cannot lack a border and a passive effect cannot have a border, a Passive Buff would now require having a border and not having a border, that’s impossible. Kabam defined Passive Buff out of existence within MCOC, people can disagree with it but Kabam defines the terms not the players, we are playing under their reality.

    In-Fight interface has been updated to better showcase the difference between Buffs from Nodes

    • Doctor Strange’s Hoggath’s Wisdom will no longer appear as a buff. It will now appear as a Passive.

    Kabam defines Buffs as requiring an bordered icon. An icon without a border cannot, by Kabam’s definition, be a buff but is instead a passive effect.
