Who is worth using a 5* Generic Gem

I just finished Act 5 100% and trying to decide what, if anything, I should do with the 5* Generic Gem. There are a lots of good options but also aware that there is a 5* awakening gem in the free calendar in about 3 months. I also have Act 6 and the two variants to do which have gems attached. So waiting to see what I get eventually from those is an option.
