New way of getting cheap AW points?!?!

I noticed something interesting, or maybe over thinking it... both of our alliances had 30 participants and both of us cleared all 3 BGs 100% however we have 5 less attacker kills than they do! Which leaves me to believe that someone (or combination) from the other alliance joined but didn’t place their defenders on purpose to ensure they would have less denfenders for us to kill giving them a W in the attacker kill category. Does anyone know if this a new way of getting cheap points in AW or has this been going for a while now?

    I’m fairly sure that you would just get 5 defenders’ worth of full attack bonus. Check the after action report to compare the attack bonus scores.

    By not placing the max amount of defenders would also lower the potential of maximizing the points that the other alliance could receive for diversity.
