Summoner Sigil - Discussion Thread

These are all things we’ve have been begging to get updated for years. And you are forcing us to pay for them. This is not a free to play game anymore. The atmosphere that is being created is that spenders get everything and f2p get the bird. My problem with this content is ITS UNETHICAL. And saddening. Sometimes I feel like the devs want to shut this game down.

To be fair, the cost isn't terribly daunting. I can understand people not being able to spend because of whatever financial situation they have. If it's not spending on a matter of principle, can't really say much about that. I spend more than $10 a month on coffee.

Not everything has to be directed at free to play players. The overall design of the game is supposed to be f2p and this doesn’t change that. This is just a good business move on Kabam’s part.

Let’s have £10 a month or the equivalent of £30 or even £50 in units a month. Then it’s fair for all imo

Actually, the overall design is Freemium. In a manner of speaking. People can play and progress without spending. Others can spend and save time.

Honestly the more I think of this. Give them more 5* shards/more gold/more iso... dont gate. the inventory change behind this.

The other are already available from a p2w standpoint and adding more doesnt change to much. This inventory thing though is really a slap in the fact and only thing that is going to really be a sticking point going forward.

It would be absolutely amazing if there was a secondary purchase option in-game for the sigil, around 500-750 units. This would allow for players who traditionally grind to reap some of the benefits, and increase logged player hours due to grinding. You could even make it a slightly nerfed sigil, but a “unit purchase” option would be very nice to see.

The gold quest should be free, in my opinion. Not just 1 fight though, there should be a permanent gold quest every few days or so.

I know I'm in the minority of not having a gold problem, so I won't speak on that, however the rest of the items received seem pretty proportionate to what people can already spend on to pass you.

I'm genuinely confused at the anger.
20% experience boost? Whatever
Slightly faster energy? Whatever
Title? Huuuuuge whatever
Better but limited exchange rates? Good, equivalent could already be purchased.
Inventory upgrades? Whatever
Bonus items that could already be purchased? Good but doesn't change anything.

So the anger is all about the easy access to 500k gold a month?

Completely agree with this. We've been asking for the ability to do many of these things for years and now they appear behind a paywall. What a joke. An item cap extension should NOT be a part of this. Why should we have to pay for extra space for an inventory that has long since been established as "too small." And the black ISO market seems like it would be a great add on as a side for players to get featured crystals at reduced cost and more 5* shards from their 4* shards, but behind a paywall??? It's feels like an insult to be honest.

Wow. One of the main reasons I love this game is because as a f2p player you can progress and do just as much as players are who spend if you put enough time into it. Now with increased inventory space, quicker energy etc this changes a lot. For me, this sort of thing kills the game for players who don’t want to or can’t spend.

I don't know anywhere else you can exchange 11k 5* shards for a 15k featured 5*...if I'm missing something, point me in the right direction.

You people are destroying this game...It will create a huge gap between spenders and free to play players...why would you do something like this...just for the sake of more bucks in your account you are destroying the game for most of the players who are free to play players but at least they had chance to compete with whales spenders...

you are simply forcing f2p players that they have to spend money now if they want to keep up with the game right...!!!

Shameful act...if this happens I’ll be leaving the game...been playing this game for last four years and i hate to see it get destroyed...!!!

Remove increased inventory then, problem solved. And anyone that actually cares about t4cc cap is sitting on 50+t4cc crystals.

So you finally get around to making some of the changes players have been asking for.. and you want us to pay for it? STFU
How about you increase inventory caps, shorten energy timers, roll-out the ISO Black Market. Players will still buy units and other single transactions.

The lowered costs of resources/items is absurd to be premiumized.. stop acting like Pfizer and price gouging.

Well, "reading the room" in my alliance chat is that a portion of f2p players will leave over this. A few will try it out reluctantly, and a few are all in. Overall, from a business perspective you lose accounts that cost you money and don't bring you revenue, and you may or may not break even on the rest.

Well I can tell you this, Kabam. This game isn't gear towards free playing... is gear towards cash... and new comers to the game will never see their poor little accounts grow...
