**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Synergy with Nick not able to bypass power struggle node!!

This synergy should easily bypass this node but in practical, it is not happening!!

I'm pretty sure that its working as intended as power struggle doesn't actually place an effect on you for the synergy kit to remove. You just simply don't gain power.
Same as I believe villainy or tyranny (where villains gain absolute power but heros don't gain any)

The synergy says it works for any effect. So in this case the effect is coming from node itself. You would have been right if the word "debuff" was used instead of the word "effect".

You see the power gain buff. This is being granted by the synergy. If their was no interaction than why am I able to get that power gain buff?

I read effect to mean debuff or passive effect in this game. Nodes are sometimes meant to be seen as a 3rd type of interaction (hence Ghulk not getting face me with Bane)

I wasn't looking at the word debuff I was more reading into how it says the kid is used to remove the effect. That to me in this game implies that it is looking for a debuff or passive (not node) effect to appear for it to remove

Might have better luck with a response form kabam by posting this in bugs section. Since I'm just guessing.

As for the power gain triggering you got me there.

Like the previous postee explained, there os no effect triggered there. You just dont get power, the node forces you to play around it

@will-o-wisp, if their was no effect triggered than why is power kit applying and giving medusa a power gain buff as u can see in the screenshot above!!!

You have to read the node. It says the attacker cannot gain power by normal means and then explains the only way you can gain power. I haven’t used Hype or Mordo in there but I’m willing to bet they still trigger their power gain buffs but gain no power.

It’s not actually an effect though, effect means debuffs and passives, the node is neither, it’s just there

Annihilus is supposed to be immune to 'any effect' that lock or lower power, and he's still affected by this node.
