New grouping of quests

So now under event quest tab there is standard monthly event quest and variants, and under special quest tab there is sinister lab, rttl, lol and rol. I wonder what is the general thought behind that grouping? It would make sense if under event quest there was standard event quest and sinister lab, because they are time quests, and under special quest - variants, rttl, lol and rol, because these are not time limited. I'm trying to think by what logic Kabam grouped them the way they did and I got nothing
