Am I ready for 5.3?

I was thinking about starting 5.3 but I’m not sure if I’m ready yet. Can you guys give me tips on who to upgrade and who to bring?

im exploring 5.3 right now, there are some paths really brutal but nothing impossible, save some units just in case
