For defence definitely km is better. But since you also spoke about synergies, I thought you were asking as attacker. Synergies don't work on defence. Go km if you want defence. Blade is better …1 -

I got both Blade and km at R4. Also have GR and WS and spark. I would do Blade. He's still valuable. Just my opinion though.1 -
