The trade off is you have to play quite often. This isn't something everyone is willing to do but no, the amount of 6* shards hasn't ruined other game modes.2 -

TB and Paragon together for match ups and cavalier and below for the rest. Just for the fact that Cavs haven't been slapped in the face for about a month.8 -

They have an incredibly low drop rate but in the time I spent being TB, I pulled 10-15 champs from TB crystals. Since being Paragon, I've pulled 4 6*'s.1
