It seems like the game was able to prevent screen rotating in the past but that has been broken in a recent update. I don’t know if it’s an iOS issue or an app issue or an interaction between the two…2 -

Sounds like a device issue maybe. What device are you playing on? I’m not having those issues on my iPhone 13.3
