Any good bleed champ is nice but I found vision worked well if you're patient his S1 and S2 damage bypasses safeguard and power drains to avoid any specials1 -

Try a combination of only grabbing half the chests and fight half the battles and he will be much easier. You need to fight him twice to complete exploration anyway2
