I think PI does matter for Arena points, but I’m not sure the difference is significant compared to the ‘win faster’ effect of having the recoil tree.1 -

Yondu with L1 spam would work, unless I’m missing something-heal block and plenty of bleed, plus the weakness stacks on the specials would make them a lot less scary when he’s spamming them in Wrath1 -

It’s plausible, acid burn does a bunch of damage and also makes him unblockable and do burst damage on hit2 -

Yeah, Omega Sentinel doesn’t take poison damage, but she still gets the debuff, which means she can get ten stacks which will then convert to the acid burn passive, and that damage is not reduced.8
